I do not want my firemen to be women. This should not be a controversial thing to say. Women are the bottleneck in the production of humans, making the rescue of women a higher priority. Why would we want to put a bunch of women in harm's way? It's counter productive. This is not even to mention something more obvious, the difference in physical strength between men and women. Very few women could perform a fireman's duties as well as a man. If the aim is diversity, then we are no longer optimizing for competency.

Diversity DID make a difference. Los Angeles burned.

I love how we have now begun to look at this time period from the lens of it being the really bizarre phase that it was. Not letting my guard down yet, but this type of rhetoric just feels like a relic of the past already.
