Since I assumed the position of Minister of Education, I have received numerous messages and letters from Part-time ND and HND students and those who have transitioned to full-time courses about their exemption from National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). As I told the students at Yaba Tech today, the Federal Ministry of Education and our agencies stand with you. The Presidency stands with you as well. You should not be exempted from participating in NYSC. I will be meeting with the Director-General of the NYSC in March to discuss this matter further. A solution is on the way.

The resident doctors, who carried placards with different inscriptions to press home their demands, worked around the hospital to show their displeasure. They accused the management of the university of deliberately subjecting them to untold hardship.

The land incorporates the Mushroom Rock area in the University of Hyderabad, near its East Campus. The auction was scheduled between March 8 and 15. On Thursday, the University of Hyderabad Students’ Union 2024-25 gave a call for a protest at the site of the ongoing bulldozing. Hundreds of students, faculty members, university staff and environmental activists gathered at the East Campus and marched to save the land. Kancha Gachibowli is one of the few remaining urban forests in Hyderabad. This habitat hosts a wide range of birds and animals.

According to him, the university included individuals who were not even enrolled as students. He stated that the NSS has detailed records of this in their system and is prepared to provide the information if the Auditor General chooses to investigate the matter.
