It would just be nice if one of these flatter people would just simply get together with some of their other supporters raise some money and get into the upper atmosphere and show everyone that the Earth is flat. Why doesn’t that happen?

Why would world leaders, scientists, astronauts, etc., throughout time, try to convince us that the world is a globe? I mean, say we found out tomorrow that the world was flat, would that open up some sort of renaissance in mankind? Do they think chaos would ensue?
