People who say you're responsible are acting like: 1) Arday had no agency (but it was his decision to act fraudulently, call the police on critics and kill himself when exposed) 2) the story starts with you (when in fact it starts with Arday and Cambridge's embrace of racist DEI thinking)

It's upsetting and absurd that you are being expected to respond to the suggestion that you precipitated Jason Arday's death. Every time someone claims that a whistleblower like Nathan Cofnas is driving a race hustler like Woke DEI Cambridge Prof Jason Arday to suicide by exposing their BLM race hoaxes, remember what Yale and Cambridge did to me. I almost killed myself an untold number of times. I am still banned from Yale's campus and from teaching at Yale, because I called the non-emergency helpline of the Yale Campus Police for help. Cambridge tried to drive me to suicide by publishing a BLM race hoax book about me by US Law Prof Shawn E Fields. I was deluged with death and rape threats. I'm lucky to be alive. Nathan Cofnas uncovered an ongoing fraud which has real victims. Cambridge, Roehampton, Durham and Glasgow are potentially exposed. Anyone taught by Arday has a potential claim for thousands in tuition fees. In other words a breach of s.50 Consumer Rights Act 2015. The remedy under s.56 is a refund of (up to) the entire fee. It's also a breach of Part 4A of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regs 2008, covering false claims about qualifications and awards. If universities were themselves deceived, that is no defence.

You are indirectly responsible then should not be legally charged for murder however you failed ethically to hold yourself back from scrutinising a man with mental and verbal difficulties. Suspending you for a couple of years would be the best punishment.

If you expose someone who molested kids and they commit suicide as a result, maybe one can argue whether you’re * technically* partly responsible for thier death, but had they not molested kids they wouldn’t have done something someone would have been able to expose, causing them to commit suicide. But the person who exposed them still isn’t at fault because (other than the fact that what they did was just), their actions were within a chain of those actions that didn’t begin with them exposing the criminal — it began with the criminal actually doing the crime so that there was then someone left to expose. Same idea applies to Arday.

"This is about DEI and Cambridge." Agreed. If #Cambridge had on August 8th admitted their mistake and pleaded with Arday publicly to seek help, the odds are nonzero of a different outcome. But Cambridge hung Arday out to dry.

There can be no better proof of your unfitness to have contact with students than your total lack of remorse, including continuing to defame Arday despite your allegations being disproven, for your role in driving Prof Arday to his death whilst portraying yourself as the victim.

Progressive scholars have an inviolable right to academic freedom from scrutiny. This is not available for non-progressive speech. Everyone knows this.

They put the man who documented the fraud in the dock. The rector who signed the suspension opened the academic year with quotations that a machine invented and delivered them as scholarship. Can you spot them? (Answers are in the comments.) One offence is treated as a hanging matter. The other is a footnote. That is the real ranking.

Anyone who has been a serious news reporter can tell you, a public figure who is the subject of a serious report threatening suicide is no deterrent to publishing it. It is a selfish effort to squelch compelling facts. In Jason Arday’s case, there’s no indication he ever did that. Quite the opposite, he fought the allegations, hired lawyers and sicced police on journalists. Any suggestion that either Cofnas or news organizations are responsible for his apparent suicide are absurd. Yet here we have a grownup journalist asking that question. Cofnas unfortunately answers like an academic with the conundrum the question poses. Rather than dismissing it out of hand.

as biased as the interviewer is, this is exactly the style of questioning we should bring back. if you have a competent interviewee they can get straight to the crux of what they believe.
