Just days after Claire Castro inaccurately and maliciously took Franco Cruz Mabanta's apology to the First Family out of context to allegedly help the narrative of nationally shamed former Martin Romualdez, the Presidential Spokesperson found herself on the receiving end of the verbal wrath of honorahle and patriotic Filipino protesters on the streets of Vancouver, Canada. The protesters did not hold back—directly calling her a liar, among a flurry of pejoratives. At a press conference this week, Castro deliberately spun a question from a reporter to make it look like Mabanta was spreading fake news about the First Family. However, PGMN has never once spread fake news about anyone. Moreover, although the PGMN Anchors are allowed to say whatever they want themselves, PGMN as a company itself has long made the strategic editorial decision to never attack President Bongbong Marcos, Vice President Sara Duterte, or Mayor Leni Robredo—a decision further concretized after Romualdez framed Mabanta in a fake extortion plot prompting PGMN to declare war exclusively against one enemy: Romualdez. This week at a Malacañang press conference, Castro was asked this question by a reporter: "Last week PGMN founder Franco mabanta posted a lengthy video. Instead of addressing the gesture truthfully, Castro twisted the message to supply ammunition for the hideously dishonest Romualdez camp, trying to make it look like Mabanta and PGMN's comprehensively accurate exposés against the former Speaker were fabricated. At least for my own wall, and also because I feel we're losing context over what has been happening, I'll be discussing, for the last time, the ticket issue with this summary: 1. As one of the A'tin who gave money to ask tickets be bought for her fellow fans (just not as many as the impressive number djsherahz ティマン ™️ asked to be bought on her behalf), let me reiterate that there's a MASSIVE DIFFERENCE between fans mass buying tickets for giveaways and politicians/brands/organizers distributing complimentary tickets. The former involves money that goes straight to the gross income of the artists. The latter may be from an x-deal. The artists don't earn any income from it. 2. Why would SB19 wish to cancel, on a whim, their 2023 Pagtatag Asia shows when one of them was already sold out a few weeks before the original concert date? Why would they risk the anger and trust of concert goers for needing to cancel at the last minute? Why would they put their reputation at risk, deliberately put themselves in a financial mess, and let go of income that's already theirs to keep just because of a "palusot"? For all these, I wonder — kulang ba ang ilan sa inyo sa critical thinking skills for not asking these question first? At kapag tinapatan ng factual na mga sagot regarding SB19 getting legally barred from using their own name during the time of their show cancellations, kulang na lang maka-score kayo ng perfect 10 maiusad lang ang mental gymnastics nyo. 3. Wala naman sana kaming problema kung tutuusin what you do with your faves' concerts and how you praise them for their achievements, because we do the same. Kung yung sinimulan at sinimulan ang pag-uusapan, as far back as the last two quarters of 2023, wala namang ganito kalaking conflict between the two PPop fandoms. In fact, at the comments section of the two October 2023 TikTok videos, below, fans of both fandoms were actually celebrating the collaboration. Why would they put their reputation at risk, deliberately put themselves in a financial mess, and let go of income that's already theirs to keep just because of a "palusot"? For all these, I wonder — kulang ba ang ilan sa inyo sa critical thinking skills for not asking these question first? At kapag tinapatan ng factual na mga sagot regarding SB19 getting legally barred from using their own name during the time of their show cancellations, kulang na lang maka-score kayo ng perfect 10 maiusad lang ang mental gymnastics nyo. 3. Wala naman sana kaming problema kung tutuusin what you do with your faves' concerts and how you praise them for their achievements, because we do the same. Kung yung sinimulan at sinimulan ang pag-uusapan, as far back as the last two quarters of 2023, wala namang ganito kalaking conflict between the two PPop fandoms. In fact, at the comments section of the two October 2023 TikTok videos, below, fans of both fandoms were actually celebrating the collaboration. And when SB19's trademark issue surfaced in November 2023, bashers mostly came from folks outside of the PPop community and not from the fans of the girl group. But the moment some of you started discrediting SB19 and dismissing their contributions to OPM and the PPop community in April/May 2024 during the Nylon polls, can you honestly blame the A'tin fandom for responding to defend the boys? Ganun din naman ginagawa nyo when an errant A'tin does the same. And no, we don't claim to be perfect. No fandom is. We have different values, sets of beliefs, and backgrounds and those dictate why there are good fans and bad. At the end of the day, isa lang ang tandaan nyo, and para na rin sa amin so we can be reminded: No one gets to invalidate any artist's achievements and malign their hard work and legacy and not expect their supporters to respond.

Can anybody from the Senate media ask Sen. Padilla what is the basis of his statement that we lost Scarborough during PNoy admin? Because these are the facts: 1. There are no Chinese ships INSIDE Scarborough shoal. 2. There is no Chinese reclamation or base on Scarborough shoal. Simply put, there is no physical occupation by China on Scarborough. The media can verify and confirm these facts with the Ph Navy and PCG. 3. The Philippine Baselines Law, which I principally authored, is the official Ph claim for Scarborough Shoal and the KIG. Our claims were acknowledged as compliant when the baseline coordinates and regime of islands claims as stated in the said law were formally submitted to the UNCLOS secretariat in 2009. 4. The Arbitral Tribunal ruling in 2016 debunked the 9-dash line claim of Ch over Scarborough Shoal and the Spratlys. Therefore, Ph has a much stronger legal claim over Scarborough than Ch. So, if there is no physical occupation by Ch and there are much stronger legal Ph claims, what is now the basis of this oft repeated lie that we lost Scarborough during PNoy admin? WALA! When I researched on this, the first person who said that we lost Scarborough without any factual and legal basis at all is Mr. Harry Roque (paulit-ulit ding sinabi ito ni Duterte during the 2016 campaign and thereafter). So, as then Chairman of the Committee on National Defense and Security, I conducted hearings in 2013 and 2015 where I asked the Ph Defense officials then if we indeed lose Scarborough and they categorically said: "NO, WE DID NOT LOSE SCARBOROUGH." I even invited Mr. Roque in the 2015 hearing so that he could hear it himself. (See video below) These are all in the Senate records. To the Ph media, next time a resource person says that we lost Scarborough during the PNoy admin, can you ask that person what is his basis for saying so? I assure you, hindi nya masasagot ito. Kasi nga walang basehan. You need to ask this because every time a Filipino resource person says this baseless statement, he is not only unwittingly weakening our position as regards Scarborough but also basically conceding our sovereignty to Ch.
