Tragic that non intellectuals see these flights on public flight records and claim these are "people with planes who are seeding/feeding a storm to intensify and control its path to harm others." How stupid...

TEAL74 flew a 10 hour mission yesterday into an atmospheric river that will soon be impacting the western United States. Here is 6 hours of flight through the atmospheric river compressed in 60 seconds. On the day of the flight the crew utilizes multiple resources to look for areas of severe turbulence, icing or other conditions which may impact the route of flight. The tornado watch has been dropped, and the severe weather threat across the D.C. metro is greatly diminished. The long-track tornado and hurricane-force wind concerns we were watching earlier are no longer expected. That’s welcome news. Remember, nobody wants storms capable of damaging homes or taking lives. It will still turn much colder. Overnight lows drop into the 30s for several mornings, so expect a chilly start to the week. Travel is another story. Thousands of flight delays and cancellations are already rippling through the system. Even after storms pass, it can take days for airlines to recover, so check your flight status before heading to the airport. More updates ahead on The Weather Channel

STARSHIP FLIGHT 13: WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEK SpaceX is targeting Thursday, July 16 for Starship Flight 13 — the second flight of the upgraded V3 vehicle. Here’s what we’re expecting on this test flight: • Second flight of the new V3 Starship and Super Heavy booster, incorporating upgrades and lessons from Flight 12 • First test deployment of next-generation Starlink V3 satellites • Continued evaluation of the improved heat shield and reentry performance • Controlled splashdown of the upper stage in the Indian Ocean • Further testing of the new launch infrastructure at Starbase This flight is primarily focused on validating the V3 design and building operational confidence. A booster catch attempt is not expected on Flight 13, but it remains a strong possibility for Flight 14 if this mission goes well. Overall, Flight 13 is another step toward increasing launch cadence and proving out Starship’s reusability at scale. The long-term goal remains clear: dramatically lower the cost of getting mass to orbit
