The Dark Knight Rises is Christopher Nolan’s most flawed film but those flaws are largely masked by an outstanding opening sequence & a really well-done conclusion. This isn’t just a great conclusion to one film, it’s a great conclusion to an entire trilogy. P.S….only 97 days.

Five people were killed in a plane crash south of Austin, Texas last night. The only question I have is who was on that plane? (7 out of 10) Preliminary flight data found that the plane took off from Amarillo, Texas, which is about 420 miles northwest of the crash area, and was in the air for almost two hours before it crashed. Cause under investigation.

Jon Favreau’s Chef is a really well-done original film that doesn’t get talked about enough. I consider this a rewatchable comfort film that’s both funny & sad. The cast is also excellent- Scarlett Johansson, Dustin Hoffman & RDJ just to name a few. Favreau’s talent is endless.

X2 is a beautiful comic book film & in a lot of ways, was a little ahead of its time. This opening sequence with Nightcrawler is really difficult to forget. Alan Cumming was perfect to play Nightcrawler. Hell, this entire cast is perfect. This film also still looks great visually

NEW: Man films video from his flight to Grozny, Russia that he sent to his wife just moments before the plane crashed in Kazakhstan. Rescuers entered the aircraft after the crash and remarkably found survivors. At the moment, it’s believed that 42 people are de*d while 29 people have survived. It’s unclear what caused the crash but footage shows the pilot pulling the plane up out of a fall in an attempt to regain control. Both pilots are believed to be deceased.
