Qantas flies direct from Sydney, Australia to Santiago, Chile. But the flight path doesn't cross North America. It doesn't even get close. Why not? And why not show that one? Also, the distance on a globe between those two cities is around 11,500 km. That distance is covered in 12.5-15 hours depending on winds (766-920 km/hour). If Flat Earther's would bother with things like "scale" on their maps, the distance between them is easily double that, if not 3x on a flat earth. How does that work? A Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner only has a range of about 14,000 km. So how does it cover a distance of 23,000-34,500 km without stopping? How would it cover it in only 12.5-15 hours? It would have to break the sound barrier constantly, which those planes are not designed to do. And if you try to solve that by squashing the flat earth map to be only 11,500 km between Santiago and Sydney, then none of the other distances on the map would be even remotely correct. You would have the distance across the US to be less than 2,000 km. So that doesn't work at all. In fact, none of the distances on a Gleason flat earth work at all to begin with. Why is that? Why hasn't any Flat Earther placed a scale on the map, ever? Surely it would be easy to do. Humans have been making maps with scales for millennia. Surely it can be done here...so why hasn't anyone? I'll take a guess: because it would be easily be proven false. Feel free to provide a better reason, but until you do, I'll stick with that explanation.
