Flipnote by KARO ("Sneakers O'Spike")

Were these characters made up for the bit to match everyone in 2009 plugging their angsty Pokemon and Yoshi avatars or did you pull out your actual OCs for this? "Spike the Pichu" sounds like something that's been made by a bajillion DeviantArt users

@lets_go_dyn4m0 So this in truth was a retread of an old Flipnote of mine from 2011, which I saw an excuse to remake since O'Toole is the O'Talk of the O'Town. I made Spike the Pichu for my Flipnotes back then, and just added a Dib jacket to complete the edgy style to him.

this is lovely

Yeesh they definitely should get some new pairs of sneaks themselves. I really love how fast paced and cartoony the animation is here!

Questoon, how do you make the it sound like it comes out of a DS speaker

The speaker effect was done by Waffles (wafflesmogumogu), and she used Chipcrusher. For a free alternative, "it is essentially just a bitcrusher, and you aim for a samplerate around 8000hz then to replicate the DS speakers you filter out a lot of the bass/low end" she says.
