Flock cameras are not *a* tool for a surveillance state. It is *the* tool for a surveillance. The problem in crime prevention and crime solving is NOT the absence of Flock cameras. It's the lack of application of current laws, and the absence of locking up repeat criminals.

Any internet accessible camera is a potential cog in the surveillance state. The AI scraping of the data is the distinguishing factor.

Surveillance or surveillance state does not matter. It’s the people watching. It’s like when Stalin said to his secretary Bazhanov (who later defected), at the Communist Congress, (Lenin was sick): “It’s not the people who vote that count. It’s the people who count the votes”

Not to mention all the criminals Trump has pardoned.

28 states have some version of a 3 strikes law. Or an habitual offender law. It should be expanded to all states.

I plan on petitioning every facet of my local government up to every state representative, senator, and governor to have these things removed and banned. Land of the free... Sad state of affairs

There shouldn't be "repeat offenders" because the offenders shouldn't be released.

It's called arresting and throwing the key away on repeat offenders not letting them back out and out and out. Everyone get's a 2nd chance, it's built in, you don't get 10 chances.

Meanwhile TVs, phones, computers, cars ect have been spying on us under the guise of "advertisements" for years, while the data is stored by foreign countries

It's all part of the surveillance-state paradise they are trying to sell to the masses, all wrapped up with words like children and safety. It's not for your benefit; it's for theirs.

It's a tool designed to create more problems than it solves.

Absolutely, also they offer no protection. All they do is just show you the crime.

Is it something like 3% of people cause most of the crime?

I don't know what the actual number is but there are already millions and millions of cameras in the US- not counting doorbell cameras and other privately owned ones. We have a bigger problem with liberal judges by far.

Do people think they can escape the surveillance of God? Ending the war on drugs would be incredibly helpful at reducing crime so police can focus on cruel people Flock is fine

If Flock AI can be used to show life patterns, it can predict where you'll be and what time you will be there. And if tens of thousands of cops have access to this, it will be easy for a corrupt cop to sell that piece of information. Flock is a great assassination planning tool.

It is not "the" tool. It is a tool they can use "legally", since it is done by a private company. They already had all the surveillance needed to solve the vast majority of crimes, but would only use that surveillance to help elites and covert agents, as the surveillance they were doing was illegal for the government to do - they wouldn't use it to solve kidnappings, murders, rapes, etc, for us peons.

So I was right again, import millions of foreigners. Let the violent ones walk free, use it as an excuse for mass surveilance

Exactly. What good is having the cameras when they don't care about jail time.

It's a massive revenue generator and once they start bringing in money they will keep adding more rules to hand out fines by mail

So if they started going hard on criminals, you'd be in favor of Flock? No, so why bring it up?

If they went hard on criminals, THEY WOULD LOSE AN ARGUMENT FOR FLOCK CAMERAS. The chaos is the feature, not a bug. Are you getting it yet?

But what if they aren't Flock? Can I put ALPR's on my fence posts and log plates along the road in front of my property? And if I give public access to that?

@barnes_law The problem isn’t even the camera, the problem is the AI that connects everything from all the cameras and then ties it to all the other data on each one of us
