The majority of those buses were purchased by Miami Dade County, under the leadership of Democrat Mayor Levine-Cava. Millions wasted.

What’s your opinion about using autonomous vehicles (AV) to decrease transit unit costs and possibly expanding service areas to areas not well suited to the current transit model (without expanding the top line budget)? These vehicles are electric, but that’s not the point. With AV technology becoming a viable option, something like a fleet of Tesla’s Robotaxis could be deployed regionally helping bring options to more people in more areas. Robo Taxi’s wouldn’t entirelyreplace fixed route busses, but they could be used to augment and expand the service in a unit cost friendly way.
It was a money laundering operation.
One needs to audit the process to find out the reason for not having a limited trial before spending $96M.

Well this sucks but no matter what anybody says or thinks the future of vehicles is electric. I actually own a EV It's the best car I've ever had Saves me almost $800 a month from not buying gas.

Gas buses already spend upwards of half a million during their lifespan in gasoline. You’re just spending what you would in gasoline up front for cheaper costs long term.
Why did they fail? What stopped them from continuing to use them?
And their oh well attitude is just why we need to put a check on their spending. Using our money fir bad decisions then begging up not to turn off the faucet
Funny thing is, there are people in this country with crazy ambition and ingenuity who could/would take these broke down hunks of shit and turn them into functioning (and bad ass) RVs. But we can’t have that either.
They should figure out how gain money for reselling them for recycling or something. Not just let them sit.
But they still want your tax dollars to fund their incompetence!
Sell them to California. I hear they’re trying to go all “green” and shutting down oil refineries. Maybe they can use those useless pieces of junk.
