Still the only official knockdown of his entire career and it was self-inflicted after he broke his hand on a left hook. The fact he switched stances and still won so convincingly with messed-up hands says a lot about his toughness that early.

Breaking his hand and still dominating proves Mayweather’s toughness matched his legendary boxing IQ. 🐐🥊

Mayweather showed real heart that night, grinding through the pain after that knockdown. Switching stances with a busted hand proved his ring IQ was next-level. True champions dig deep and still dominate no matter the adversity.🥊

Man that hand break moment always stood out to me. Floyd looked straight human for once then just adjusted and took over. Most fighters fold right there. He kept pressing anyway. Good look on this one.

The hand break really humanized him for a second. Most would have folded right there but Floyd just adjusted and took over like a true champ.

‼️Definitely one of Floyd’s toughest moments. The broken hand, the knockdown and still controlling the fight afterward showed just how mentally tough he was🎲

Yeah, that night really showed Floyd’s true grit. Even with a broken hand and the only knockdown of his career, he still took control and won easy.

‼️🎲Exactly. That’s what made the performance so impressive🐐Floyd was hurt, but his composure never left him. He adjusted, took control, and finished the fight like a champion

That’s not a knockdown get it right mayweather had the boy looking like E.T.

Technically the ref ruled it a knockdown after Mayweather’s glove touched the canvas from the hand injury, not from getting hit. Still, he dominated the fight and left Hernandez looking rough by the end.

@AwedaJoshua He hurt his hand in the fight, probably broke a few bones. So hé had to take a knee. And I think this is part of when his hand injuries started

@AwedaJoshua Yeah he came in with both hands already messed up and just made it worse on that left hook. Still the only time he was ever officially counted down, pure warrior shit.

Floyd never looked more human than in that Hernandez fight. Broken hand and all, he just adjusted and kept winning.

Perfectly said. That fight showed the real fighter underneath pain, adjustment, and still winning. A broken hand ends most nights. For Mayweather it was just another problem to solve.

I think I he broke his hand, this was the start of the death of pretty boy. ☹️

Only a few know that his first nickname was Pretty Boy. Long-term fans of Floyd will know this tho.

That was one of the best fights from Carlos Hernandez... El Famoso. He gave El Chicanito Hernandez a good fight too. His best W came against Steve Forbes. Salvadoran-American, the pride of Bellflower, California. 🇸🇻🇺🇸

El Famoso really showed heart that night against Mayweather and never got the credit he deserved. Pride of Bellflower and a true pioneer for Salvadoran boxing. 🇸🇻🇺🇸

José Luís Castillo le gano

Great ‘in the pocket’ boxing by Mayweather, good defensive slipping by Hernandez but also ate a lot of clean punches by Mayweather who made his adjustments but also seemed to have hurt his hand during the fight

Yea Mayweather’s pocket work and adjustments were elite even while dealing with the hand. Hernandez slipped well early but still ate clean shots; that sixth-round moment showed real adversity and Floyd still controlled the fight.

Indeed. Many ppl dont realise how fit Mayweather was in 2nd half of fights which where he won most of his fights post-Pretty boy era, using a counter-punching style. For example, if Zab Judah had Mayweather's fitness, he may have possibly edged that fight but he cudnt sustain it

Can’t believe he survived that

Yea he did Hand broken in round 6 and he still walked out with a clear UD. That’s peak Mayweather resilience right there.

That’s stone cold 🥶

He is NOT going toe to toe lol

At least he is not running the way people said he used to 😂

Still I love him

Yes. You gave the right to love him. 😊

Sure

The most hyped flop in history. An absurd mix of mediocrity and a bad attitude 🤡

Mayweather broke his hand, took his only career knockdown from pure pain, and still won a clear UD. Calling a 50-0 legend a “hyped flop” is pure cope.

He was always a bum with a padded record; many of his “victories” were outright robberies of his opponents 👎🏼

Dude looked like that white boy from mask

@Realdill_

@Realdill_ Thanks for sharing 💪

This guy will not last 4 round with Joshua

Weight classes exist for a reason Mayweather was a welterweight genius, Joshua is a heavyweight. Different divisions tho.

Thanks for updating me, I love this explanation.

It's fine bro. Thanks for watching. 🙏

Real 🐶 💯🥊‼️

Carlos Hernández caught him with a shot that sent Mayweather to the canvas

Actually, Mayweather hurt his hand landing a left hook and touched the canvas in pain the ref still ruled it a knockdown, his only official one. He still powered through the injury for a clear unanimous decision. Impressive resilience.

They was hating on Floyd The Whole time commentating smh

At shakur can not fight like this

Niggas act like floyd wasnt a puncher before he broke his hands.

It’s crazy how different a fighter “Pretty Boy” Floyd is from “Money” Mayweather.

Pretty Boy was willing to trade and grind through pure adversity like that broken hand knockdown. Money-May perfected the defensive shell and never let opponents even get close.

Refree is a rotten pepper

Floyd be Running Floyd be Running Stfu

Can’t cheat all the time. As you can see he’s trying to make every excuse in the book

Omg look at that nigga face lmfaooooo

Another mayweather loss

This version of Floyd was a killer!!

This was pretty boy Floyd. He woulda fought with the greats and probably beat all of them. Money Mayweather woulda got beaten by 2 or 3 of the greats

“I know you ain’t gone quit. I ain’t worried bout that.” Roger was too real

Floyd definitely showed he will go toe to toe if he has too. That was an example but Hernandez was no joke either. He gave Money May a run for his money.

This was a robbery to De la Hoya, but the mafia of boxing always acting in favor of this clown. Everybody knows Mayweather was never a good boxer, he never fought clean, he was a runner, and always won with help of referees. Mayweather is the Argentina of football.
