[long, sorry] some updates: The competitive part of Dookey Dash is pretty well cooked and many of you have gotten a chance to playtest the game in some form, either at NFT Paris, in Dubai at Token2049, or as part of our gaming council. THANK YOU for being part of testing and dealing with bugs as we QA the shit out of the game. A not-final build of the game is currently live in the Philippines and Australia for testing. This version is missing a ton of features we’ve been busy building with Faraway, as well as many completed parts of the game that we can’t push live until Season 1 begins. What are we adding? A bunch of things to make the game more casual-friendly. Stuff like: -NEW MAPS: More to explore than just the same 'ol sewer -ARCADE MODE: A new objective-based game mode, with clear conditions for progressing (like "dash through five walls to win," etc). Arcade mode is broken up into levels, and achieving goals gets you progress on the map and onto the next stage. Basically, think Candy Crush. -CHAMPIONSHIP MODE: This is the good old leaderboard-based DDU for hardcore players. -WEEKLY TOURNAMENTS: Compete in weekly tournaments to win boxes featuring new characters, vehicles, banners, etc. Opening up boxes will grant you Dookey Points, which you can spend to spin for a chance at a Golden Plunger – you’ll need a Golden Plunger in order to compete in the $1m esports championship at the end of the season. -DAILY QUESTS: Rotating set of quests with a range of possible rewards It’s a LOT of new upgrades to Dookey Dash, all with the aim of making the game fun for everyone and not just twitchy nerds with fast reflexes. Looking forward to getting my mom to play. All that said, I don’t want to push this sucker live until I feel like we’ve got the best game possible. Today marks a momentous occasion for our community, our 2nd year anniversary! 💊 The past year was all about learning and building, turning vision into reality, and now it's time we share a glimpse of the exciting future we've been creating together. We're thrilled to announce the launch of our upcoming mobile game: BYORacer: Sons of Valkyrie! We've been passionately working on this project, and your patience and unwavering support have been instrumental in making it happen. But first, let's dive into what's coming 👇 1⃣ Early Access - The game will initially launch as a closed early access for our BYOCraft holders only. This invaluable period will provide us with much-needed data and feedback, helping us optimize and improve the gaming experience for the full access launch. 2⃣ Early Access Rewards - Early birds get the worm, or in our case, higher rewards! We'll be distributing greater rewards among a smaller player-base, thanking those who've stuck with us through thick and thin. The early access phase will include several seasons lasting several weeks, each with its own set of rewards and new features. 3⃣Time-Trial Mode - Are you ready to race against the clock...and the ghosts? Our innovative Time Trial mode records your best times and performances, creating 'ghost' hovercrafts of your top runs. But it's not just about your ghosts! Every time you race, you'll be competing alongside the ghosts of other players' best runs, creating a thrilling, always-on multiplayer atmosphere in every single race. 4⃣ Tiered Leaderboards - The early access rewards will be distributed among different leaderboards, each representing a different craft tier. The rarer the craft tier, the higher the reward allocation. 5⃣ Procedurally Generated Obstacles - No two tracks will be the same, with procedurally generated obstacles adding a new challenge every time. 6⃣ BYOCraft and Apostle Multipliers - BYOCraft and Apostle multipliers based on tiers will impact how fast you can level up and upgrade your craft. This means better lap times and a faster climb up the leaderboard. 7⃣ Community Battles - The early-access seasons might bring with them community-battles, where Apostles can take on other NFT communities wearing a BYOSuit. And there's more once we hit full access... 8⃣ Full Game Features - Following early access period, we'll roll out the full free-to-play game. Expect a full on multiplayer mode with power-ups for fierce in-game battles. The game will also introduce achievements to boost your VYBE score. 9⃣ TRYP Tempests - An innovative season mechanic with increasing dangerousness and reward track. The intensity of these tempest levels can be manipulated by the community, causing increased environmental hazards unique to each racetrack and biome. S10 Preseason Leeks 💖 The most exciting preseason for Origins is right around the corner. If everything goes well, Origins will go into maintenance for the preseason update on August 7 at 11:30 AM PHT / August 6 at 11:30 PM EST. Lets dive into the latest developments as we get ready for the S10 Preseason Launch 👇 🪜 Collectible Leaderboard As we bring much needed gameplay utility to Collectible Axies with Meta Morph, Collectible Leaderboard will serve as the true battleground for the most precious axies in Lunacia. 🔹 Prizepool of Collectible Leaderboard has been increased from 4,000 AXS to 6,000 AXS. 🔹 Collectible Leaderboard will be live for 3 weeks from Aug 7, 11:30 AM PHT to Aug 28, 11:00 AM PHT. 🔹 Era based testing will be carried out with 1 week dedicated to each era. 🔹 Preseason Cup will not be hosted during this preseason. The focus will be on Collectible Leaderboard for balance patch testing. ✨ Meta Morph After getting important feedback regarding Meta Morph from the community and further internal review, we've decided to implement the following changes: 🔹 Body parts of the morphed cards will be visually changed once battle begins. This is necessary to make it easier for players to be able to check quickly what team the opponent is playing. An example of Meta Morph visuals can be seen in the attached video below. 🔹 The bonus HP of Collectible Axies will be removed. As Collectible Axies will now be much more versatile and able to play all types of teams, the bonus HP is no longer deemed necessary. Therefore, it will be removed when the S10 Preseason launches. 🔹 Clarification around morphing: To morph into a card, player needs to have at least one NFT axie with that card in their inventory. For example: If I want to morph the back card of my collectible axie into a Cupid then I need to have at least one NFT axie with Cupid in my inventory. 🔹 Adjusted various values for the Morph process for different collectibles. Check out the full details here: 🐻 Roguelike Mode v1.0 The groundwork for Origins PvE will be laid with v1.0 of Roguelike Mode. This will be the first version as we work with the community to test how a PvE game mode will function in Origins. 🔹 Roguelike Mode v1.0 will be live during the S10 preseason and last for 3 weeks, from August 7 to August 28. After this, we will gather feedback from the community and work towards the next update for Roguelike Mode to improve it even further. 🔹 Roguelike Mode will launch with 3 exciting contests for the community to participate in.
