Although the French Rafale is usually stronger on paper, its pilot was outmatched by the experienced U.S. pilot and lost the fight at the 18-second mark of the first video.

U.S. Air Force F-35 fighter jet crashes during a training exercise at the Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska. The pilot experienced an “inflight malfunction” but was able to eject from the aircraft, Col. Paul Townsend, commander of the 354th Fighter Wing, told a news conference. The plane crashed during the landing phase of the flight at Eielson Air Force Base, he said. The pilot had declared an inflight emergency prior to the crash and was in stable condition and being evaluated at a medical facility, he said.

The loss of power can be due to engine malfunction, but it is very unlikely that both engines would lose power simultaneously... It is a very big engine, and it is rare that both engines lose power due to a bird hit in a one-minute duration... The pilot gave a mayday call. This means that the failure was seen in the cockpit... They went airborne while combating that failure... I don't understand why the landing gear was still down... The landing gear is raised as soon as the flight takes off... Since the landing gear was down, it is possible that a loss of engine was detected beforehand... There are many variables, and any speculation would be unjust... Russell Crowe as Jor-El in Man of Steel is an example of outstanding casting. For my money, the Oscar-winner is the best part of Man of Steel & far and away a better Jor-El than Marlon Brando. Crowe’s a steady hand throughout the ups and downs of this film. A great performance.

After a landing gear lever malfunction forced the use of the backup extension system on this Delta A220-100 flight 2929 from Minneapolis, landing at Charlotte, ATC offered a low pass for a visual inspection. The pilot casually replied: “I don’t care if it comes back up again.” The A220 safely landed on RNY 12R at CLT. 📹: flightsimstuff
