They do that to save it for later

The cat doesn’t think The food is bad or smells foul. It just isn’t interested in the food and is trying to bury it so it doesn’t attracted other predators. It’s just their natural instinct to bury food they don’t want or maybe to save for later.

Means its like crap. Not worth eating. Gotta cover it up!🐱

Why does my cat do that to her own food after she eats?

I was watching a friends cat for him his name was Spottie. I gave him fresh cut up in tiny cubes salmon and he loved it as a special treat. He would not eat it cooked though. He looked up at me and was like.. its ruined! lol

Cats dont bury food for later, they bury shit, urine and vomit. Our food is poison its trash they know it. Give them any whole food meat and they will not do that unless they dont like it. My cat hates fish so he will do this to any fish doesn't matter how fresh or clean.

So only plain chicken isn't shit? Ok, noted! 😹😹
