It’s Fort de Vaux, a littéral translation would be Vaux’s fort ☝️🥸 My great grandpa’s military booklet, mentioning his locations and injuries sustained: 3 head wounds, the last one in Verdun, and a pic of him (tall guy in dark blue, standing, in the middle):

My uncle died and is buried in France, 1918.

@UltraFerus It is nice to be able to see a lot of this old archive footage in color and put it in a much higher definition. Such a lot of wasted potential and life for no good reason. I often ponder what every man that was killed in war where they would have ended up in life.
