USAAF 14th PRS Spitfire PR Mk XI gunned down at point blank range likely by a Luftwaffe Me 262 jet fighter in 1944 The incident pictured most likely involved Spitfire PR Mk XI PL782 flown by 2nd Lt Robert B Hilborn. The aircraft was intercepted over Lechfeld by Leutnant Alfred Schreiber of Erprobungskommando 262 in Me262 A-1a WerkNr. 110372 "White 3". This latter unit was the first to deploy the Messerschmitt jet and would later form Kommando Nowotny. Hilborn managed to bail out of his stricken aircraft and was taken prisoner. The USAAF insignia on the top of the port wing is clearly visible as the aircraft banks away and both the severe vibration on firing and size of the cannon shell impacts suggest 30mm gunfire consistent with the Me 262's MK 108 battery in the nose, and the jet aircraft would also have been able to comfortably keep up with the fast unarmed photoreconnaissance Spitfire variant at altitude. The 3cm Minengeschoss high-capacity shells were formidable projectiles each containing over 70 grams of high explosive and were designed to detonate within six or so inches of having penetrated the aircraft skin, destroying the aircraft structure in the process and rendering the aircraft unflyable after only a few hits. The amount of debris flying off the Spitfire after only three visible detonations is testament to the devastating effect of such fire. The US 14th Photographic Reconnaissance Squadron began to train with British-made Supermarine Spitfire Mk V fighters in July 1943 before equipping with the photographic reconnaissance PR Mk XI variant later that year. The squadron flew combat reconnaissance missions in the European Theater of Operations from August 12th 1943 until April 25th 1945. The squadron's Spitfires flew the majority of the target photography missions, including the first Spitfire reconnaissance mission over Berlin in March 1944, while the other squadrons of the 7th Photographic Group (Reconnaissance) equipped with F-5 Lightnings concentrated on photographic mapping. Deep penetration missions included reconnaissance of oil refineries to determine when repairs had been performed that could justify returning them to Eighth Air Force's target list. The Squadron earned a Distinguished Unit Citation for reconnaissance missions flown over France between May 31st 1944 and the end of June. The squadron flew over 300 successful sorties to support Operation Overlord, the invasion of Normandy. It flew missions over the Netherlands to support Operation Market Garden in October 1944 and conducted damage assessment of Germany until July 23rd 1945. In late 1944, the Spitfires, flying solo missions and relying only on speed and altitude for defense, began to prove vulnerable to the jet powered Messerschmitt Me 262 fighters entering service with the Luftwaffe. A squadron aircraft lost on September 5th 1944 was probably the first Army Air Forces loss to a German jet fighter. Erprobungskommando 262 had been formed in April 1944 at Lechfeld just south of Augsburg, as a test unit (Jäger Erprobungskommando Thierfelder, commanded by Hauptmann Werner Thierfelder) to introduce the Me 262 into service and train a corps of pilots to fly it. This was not Leutnant Schreiber's first go at an Allied reconnaissance plane, while flying over Munich on July 26th he encountered a Mosquito PR Mark XVI of No. 540 Squadron RAF piloted by Fl. Lt. A.E. Wall. Schreiber attempted to shoot down the unarmed Mosquito, though Wall evaded Schreiber's three attack runs and was able land safely at Fermo in Italy after what was the first air to air interception by a jet fighter in history.

Iran war, day 89! Trump keeps breaching the ceasefire! Just how compromised is Oman? -4 American vessels, attempted to cross the SOH without coordinating with IRGC security forces -They were warned, and following their disregard, warning shots were fired at them, forcing them to turn back. -4 drones were fired as warning shots Meanwhile, Kosher media lies as usual and claims: -that IRGC fired 4 one-way drones at a U.S. commercial ship! -The U.S. military shot down all the drones and attacked another Iranian drone launching unit on the ground before it launched in Bandar Abbas, the official added -no mentions of the 4 invader vessels attempting to breach iran’s control of the SOH, and failing miserably! Per Reuters, the U.S. military has executed new strikes on an Iranian military facility that “posed a threat to U.S. forces and commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz”. -no mention of the U.S. military invasion of a sovereign territory. However, -U.S. official told CBS News the Iran ceasefire holds following tonight's strikes. -interesting how no accusation was made against Iran breaching the ceasefire despite kosher media’s bs claims. Analysis: The U.S. is testing out Iran’s ability to strike U.S. ships with limited breaches to gauge where Iran is striking from each time. Iran isn’t providing a predictable pattern and is sticking to its protocol of warnings, warning shots, and then on standby to escalate. Ynet Hebrew news on Iran’s demand for compensation: Tehran sets new conditions - the US must pay $300 billion in compensation! -Trump/Israel keep raising the price for a peace deal How is Trump’s bs blockade working out? Per WSJ: Despite the naval blockade, Iran continues to sell its oil! -The ship-to-ship transfer of oil in the middle of the sea reveals Iran's main strength and the main reason for its ability to resist US pressure for a long time. -Per the US-China Economic and Security Review Commission, Tehran earned about $31 billion in oil revenues from China last year. -this is conservative figure as most of sales are unaccounted for -The Chinese government explicitly ordered local companies not to comply with US sanctions against five Chinese refineries. And now Iran is selling its oil and maximum capacity, at higher prices. Pre war oil was at $70/b. It’s around $100/b. Trump did that! Nobody fears Trump’s bs blockade, sanctions and tariffs! Trump keeps barking anyway! Trump reserved the right to now wipe out Oman and finish off Iran! -I thought Iran was already beat according to Trump! As for Oman: Oman can be considered the most staunch supporter of the U.S. presence in the Persian Gulf region. The first military agreement between the two countries was signed in 1980. Currently, 26,000 American air force units are stationed on the territory of this Arab state. In addition, U.S. military aviation units assigned the private security firm DynCorp International to guard various parts of the base, including aircraft hangars, fuel storage, ammunition depots, automobiles, and administrative buildings. Oman hosts multiple US military bases: -the bases of the Navy in Rycote, Sit Lahsa and Muscat. -the U.S. air force bases are in al-Hasib, Siba, Markaz Tamarid, and masir. -the air force base in masir and the port of Matra are permanent bases of the US armed forces. -Oman hosts the command post of the US air force. -From American air bases in Oman, drones (UAVs) are periodically flown over the territories of many countries, up to Afghanistan. Iran for whatever reason trusted Oman as a mediator state at one time. Trump said he is not sure the U.S. should sign a deal to end the war with Iran if Saudi Arabia and other gulf slave states don't agree to join the Abraham Accords! They owe it to us he says! Kosher media calls out Netanyahu’s bs! "Haaretz" quoting an Israeli field officer: Netanyahu's claim of killing 600 Hezbollah fighters in recent weeks is laughable

A major disinformation and Russian propaganda channel called "Donbass Devushka", which published a fake version of "secret Pentagon documents," is hosted by a former U.S. Navy officer who was recently discharged from military service. The "Mila Girl from Luhansk," who hosts podcasts with pro-Kremlin propagandists, turned out to be Sarah Bils, a divorced American from New Jersey. She was exposed by members of the "North Atlantic Fella Organization" (#NAFO), an online community that fights Russian propaganda. On Twitter, "Donbass Devushka" posted filtered photos of herself and wrote that her name was Mila. NAFO collated the photos and other information from one of the podcast videos and found out that her real name is Sarah Bils, but she had recently officially changed it to another, more Russian name. Bils is a former U.S. Navy officer, recently discharged from active duty. Bils herself claims she was "kicked out" of the military because of her "leftist views." Former associates have expressed concern about her mental health and have called her a habitual liar. Beals' mother claimed that her daughter often made up stories. On social media, "Donbass Devushka" claimed she was traveling between the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don and the Ukrainian city of Luhansk in 2014, but in reality, Bils was suing her ex-husband in Oak Harbor at the time. When Russia began a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Bils created several Twitter accounts and added Telegram in April. Her Telegram channel publishes more "banned" Twitter content, including memes, fake images, and ultra-violence: such as cheering the killing of a U.S. volunteer who went to Ukraine, videos of dead Ukrainians, and supporting videos of a Ukrainian POW being beheaded by Russian mercenaries from the "Wagner" PMC. In January 2023 Jack Teixeira of the Massachusetts National Guard shared hundreds of classified documents on his Discord server. The Bellingcat investigation revealed the distribution of documents from Teixeira's Discord to 4Chan, Telegram and Twitter. Two versions of the key documents were distributed: one showed that Russian losses far exceeded Ukrainian ones, and the other badly edited version showed the opposite. Belligcat claims that the falsified versions were created by the Telegram channel "Donbass Devushka", but Bils denies this claim. Fox News host Tucker Carlson used the faked version circulated on "Donbass Devushka's" Telegram channel to claim that Ukraine had a 7-to-1 troop loss ratio and is "losing the war" (video). The faked versions were spread by pro-Kremlin propagandists, and "Donbass Devushka" began supporting the well-known Z-channel. In November 2022, The Bell journalists found out that this channel received money from Yevgeny Prigozhin (head pf the PMC "Wagner") and could be linked to the FSB.

Once Bagram is reactivated, expect a full resumption of U.S. ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) operations across the region: if the U.S. returns to Bagram, it won’t be for peacebuilding or regional development. It will be to reassert full-spectrum dominance over South and Central Asia—including Pakistan, Iran, and western China. MQ-9 Reaper and RQ-170 Sentinel drones flying 24/7 surveillance missions along the Durand Line. RC-135V Rivet Joint platforms conducting deep signal interception and electronic surveillance across Pakistan, Iran, and western China. • SIGINT aircraft intercepting mobile, military, and encrypted communications within Pakistan’s borders. • ELINT and radar-mapping aircraft identifying Pakistan’s defense infrastructure, troop movements, and missile positions. • Persistent aerial surveillance of sensitive areas—Balochistan, KP, Punjab—tracking everything from nuclear convoys to military installations. And it won’t stop at Pakistan. Western China’s Xinjiang region, including nuclear and missile sites near the Afghan, will also fall under U.S. surveillance coverage. From Bagram, the Pentagon can closely monitor PLA activity, signal traffic, and strategic build-up near Kashgar and Hotan. Let’s not forget: the last time America was in Bagram, drone strikes were a routine affair—from Waziristan to Bajaur, even into settled areas. And here’s the catch: India, which may appear to have friction with the U.S. today, could easily realign with Washington tomorrow. The Indo-U.S. defense axis is driven by long-term strategic interests, not temporary political squabbles. If Bagram becomes operational again, India will undoubtedly benefit from U.S. intelligence, gaining direct insights into Pakistan’s military posture. It’s not just America. Israel will also tap into this intelligence pipeline, using Bagram as a launchpad for deeper surveillance across Iran and Pakistan. The airspace will turn into a multinational electronic warfare zone, flooded with drones, SIGINT /ISR platforms.

What's happening in the Strait of Hormuz Every escalation of the military-political situation around Iran is accompanied by numerous rumors and speculations about the blocking of shipping in the strategically important for the global economy Strait of Hormuz. Yesterday, the Iranian IRGC Navy broadcast a radio message about a complete ban on shipping, and the US Department of Transportation called for leaving the strait and adjacent waters. Later, the IRGC softened the rhetoric, stating that the strait was closed only for Americans. According to the latest reports, passage through the strait is allowed only for Iranian and Chinese naval ships. Such statements need to be confirmed by actions, and probably the first step on the path to a blockade was the defeat of the oil tanker SKYLIGHT, which was heading from an Iraqi port under the Palau flag. According to various reports, the ship was attacked by drones or missiles, and a fire broke out on board. At the moment, the tanker is anchored in the Persian Gulf near the coast of the Sultanate of Oman. It is reported that the crew was evacuated, as evidenced by the presence of a rescue boat nearby, from which footage of the fire was taken. It's worth noting that this tanker is on the US sanctions lists for transporting Iranian oil, but this does not mean it belongs to Iran. It's a classic "shadow" ship, operating under a "convenient" flag in the interests of whoever is currently paying. When reading reports on maritime events, it's worth remembering that this information is written and disseminated by journalists and bloggers, many of whom have only seen the sea in pictures, and none of whom have ever worked a single day on a ship. The Strait of Hormuz is not a road where you can put up a barrier, nor is it a field that can be carefully mined. The width of the Strait of Hormuz at its narrowest point reaches 40 kilometers, and at its widest point it is almost 100 kilometers. Of course, these figures are not so high given the depths, and theoretically, Iran has the military-technical capabilities to, if not stop, then seriously damage international shipping. However, it's highly doubtful that under the current circumstances, the leadership of the Islamic Republic will decide on radical actions, such as those that went down in history under the name "Tanker War". The lessons of those events showed that attacks and seizures of international ships could not stop traffic and did not collapse the global market, but they did turn many previously neutral states against Iran. Including the USSR, which was forced to send a fleet of warships to the Persian Gulf to combat the newly emerged piracy. We would also like to ask our bellicose authors to be less gloating and rejoicing at the news of burning and sinking ships. On each of these ships, sailors are burning and sinking - innocent citizens of Russia, Ukraine, India, the Philippines... and many other peaceful men and women, forced to work at sea to support their families. A reserve sailor, specially for the project wargonzo UPD: Iran does not intend to block the Strait of Hormuz at the moment, said the head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Abbas Arakchi, to Al Jazeera. TROOPS OF OPERATION HADIN KAI RESCUE ABDUCTED NGOSHE WOMEN IN MANDARA MOUNTAIN Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have recorded another significant operational success with the rescue of six abducted civilians and their subsequent reunion with family members in Ngoshe community, Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State. The rescue operation followed sustained offensive actions, including recent air interdiction missions targeting terrorist enclaves in the Mandara Mountains. Acting on credible intelligence, troops of OPHK, while returning from a successful overnight offensive operation in the early hours of 1 May 2026, intercepted and rescued six women and children around Amuda—a deserted area between Ngoshe and Gava known for terrorist transit activities. The rescued victims were identified as Mrs. Zainab Idris (18), Fatima Abubakar (17), Maimuna Abdulrashid (24), Muhammad Idris (1), Sadiq Abdullahi (7), and Fatima Abdulrashid (5). Preliminary debriefings revealed that they were among residents abducted during the terrorist attack on Ngoshe community on 3 March 2026 and had been held in captivity at a terrorist enclave in Gava before escaping. During the rescue, troops came under sporadic enemy fire as fleeing terrorists attempted to pursue the escapees. The troops responded decisively, engaging the terrorists in a brief exchange of fire, forcing them to withdraw into the mountainous terrain. The successful rescue operation is also linked to intensified operational pressure on terrorist elements, which has significantly degraded their cohesion and heightened internal disarray. Intelligence indicates that the terrorists are increasingly desperate and paranoid, following sustained losses and the escape of captives, including a 16-year-old girl who had been forcefully married to one of their commanders. Following the rescue, the victims were immediately administered first aid and medical checks at a military facility before being formally handed over to community authorities. At about 1400 hours the same day, they were successfully reunited with their families through the Wali of Ngoshe, Alhaji Shuaibu Dabawa, in an emotional ceremony witnessed by community members. The Armed Forces of Nigeria reassure the public of their unwavering commitment to securing all communities, rescuing abducted persons, and eliminating terrorist elements from all enclaves across the North East region. Troops’ morale and fighting efficiency remain high as operations continue with renewed vigour. Members of the public are encouraged to continue providing timely and credible information to support ongoing military operations, in the security, peace and economic interest of the North East region. The Military High Command commends the troops for their impressive battle performance, urging them to sustain aggressive operations, to dominate the battlespace. 🇺🇸 🇮🇷 IRAN JUST ATTACKED OUR ALLIES AND THE FAKE NEWS WON'T TELL YOU THE WHOLE STORY While you were sleeping, Iran launched missiles and drones at Bahrain and Kuwait. Two of our closest partners in the Gulf. In direct retaliation for Trump-authorized U.S. strikes that hit back hard after Iran targeted an oil tanker. This is what strength looks like. And Iran is rattled. Kuwait's air defenses knocked those missiles out of the sky. No casualties. No damage. Because unlike the Biden years, our allies are armed, ready, and backed by a president who means what he says. Bahrain took some hits to a residential building near the airport. That's on Tehran. Iran's Foreign Minister Araghchi is crying in Baghdad right now, warning the world that any attempt to open the Strait of Hormuz without Iran's blessing will "increase tension." Translation: they're scared of losing their stranglehold on one of the most critical shipping lanes on the planet. That strait once carried a fifth of the world's oil. Iran has used it as a hostage for decades. Trump struck 10 Iranian targets after they hit a Panama-flagged tanker hauling over two million barrels of crude. That's not aggression. That's accountability. That's a president who draws a red line and actually enforces it. For four years under Biden, Iran laughed at us. They funded proxies, armed terror groups, and pushed every boundary they could find while Democrats handed them cash and called it diplomacy. Now they're intercepting our missiles with their air defense systems instead of shipping drones to kill our sailors. The mullahs wanted to test this president. They got their answer.

I recently read an interesting article by a journalist and one of the founders of the Babel online outlet, Hlib Husiev, who spent three days with the group that created the "Horynych" drone. Main points: ◾️ The Horynych drone is a modified French Skyranger ultralight aircraft. Ukrainian engineers and light aircraft enthusiasts have turned it into a formidable weapon. They removed the pilot's seat from the Skyranger, added an auxiliary fuel tank, batteries, navigation and communications systems, and hardpoints for munitions. Horynych gained the ability to carry OFAB-100-120 fragmentation-high-explosive aerial bombs (about 40 kg of explosives) or the more powerful OFAB-250 (100 kg of explosives), as well as 120-mm mortar bombs. The drone's hit precision reaches one meter, and its flight range is up to one thousand kilometers. The uniqueness of Horynych lies in its ability to navigate through GPS-spoofed zones and evade Russian air defense systems such as the Pantsir-S1, Buk, and S-300. It can return and land autonomously. ◾️ For two years now, the group led by the commander with the callsign "Horynych" has been striking strategic targets in Russia. He does not disclose his real name for security reasons. Before the full-scale invasion, "Horynych" worked in a business far removed from war; during the pandemic, he became interested in light aircraft and obtained a pilot's license. In spring 2022, he volunteered for the front, served in the territorial defense, then in the Special Operations Forces, and later moved to the 14th UAS Regiment. His unit is now focused on strategic drone strikes with ranges of up to several hundred kilometers. The drone was named after his callsign. ◾️ The "Horynych" group was able to create an unmanned aircraft for deep strikes and carry out successful missions thanks to many factors: from administrative backing and freedom of action granted by the commander to intelligence and special equipment from partner countries. The entire group is made up of light aircraft enthusiasts. The drone's missions are not disclosed. What can be seen, however, is their result: burning Russian strategic infrastructure. For "Horynych's" operations in 2023-2024, members of the regiment have already been awarded two Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi. The "Horynych" operations themselves are complex, multi-stage missions. First, reconnaissance drones are launched to identify air defense positions and signals intelligence stations. Then come decoy drones that distract the attention of the air defense systems. Strike drones, such as the AN-196 Liutyi, attack EW systems, creating a 'corridor' for the Horynych. Only after that does the bomber drone set off for its target, covering hundreds of kilometers. Thus, on the night of October 6, Horynych flew about a thousand kilometers, dropped two 120-mm mortar bombs and an OFAB-100-120 on the Yakov Sverdlov factory in Russian Dzerzhinsk (near Nizhny Novgorod), and then dove kamikaze-style onto the target. At that enterprise, the Russians produce explosives and fill FAB bombs for aircraft with them. A few hours later, a second drone repeated the attack, and the next day, another seven Horynych drones completed the mission. Such strikes inflict serious damage on Russia's military-industrial complex - on factories, arsenals, and facilities of the oil and gas complex. "Horynych" himself estimates the total losses inflicted on the occupiers at between $3 and $5 billion. Full article is available here:

‼️🇺🇸🇮🇷 Ceasefire on Paper, Airstrikes in Reality. Is the Gulf Heading Toward Another Crisis? The latest escalation between the United States and Iran shows just how fragile the current ceasefire has become. According to Washington, an Iranian drone strike damaged a commercial cargo ship transiting the Strait of Hormuz, while additional drones were intercepted before reaching their targets. The U.S. described the incident as a direct violation of the ceasefire agreement and responded with precision airstrikes targeting Iranian missile depots, drone storage facilities, coastal radar sites, and military infrastructure. Iran, however, rejects the U.S. narrative and accuses Washington of breaching the ceasefire first. Tehran argues that the American strikes undermine ongoing diplomatic efforts and violate the understandings reached during recent negotiations. Iranian officials have also maintained that they reserve the right to defend their strategic interests in and around the Strait of Hormuz. What makes this situation even more significant is that military escalation and diplomacy are happening at the same time. On one side, American aircraft are striking Iranian military targets while U.S. forces continue intercepting drones over the Gulf. On the other, diplomatic channels have not completely collapsed. Negotiations remain active, suggesting that neither Washington nor Tehran currently appears willing to abandon dialogue despite the ongoing military exchanges. The Strait of Hormuz remains the center of gravity. Nearly one fifth of the world's seaborne oil trade passes through this narrow waterway. Even limited military activity increases insurance costs, shipping risks, and uncertainty across global energy markets. Every drone launch, interception, or retaliatory strike raises concerns far beyond the Middle East. The biggest question now is whether these strikes are intended as a limited show of force or the beginning of another cycle of retaliation. History has shown that both the United States and Iran often combine military pressure with diplomatic engagement. The challenge is preventing isolated incidents from growing into a broader regional conflict. For now, the ceasefire technically exists. On the ground and in the skies over the Gulf, it is being tested almost every day. Do you believe diplomacy will eventually prevail, or are the U.S. and Iran moving toward another major confrontation in the Strait of Hormuz?
