JUST RELEASED: Buffalo Police Officers’ Actions Deemed Justified in Incident Involving Knife-Wielding Woman Buffalo, NY — The Buffalo Police Department released bodycam footage from a September 27, 2025, incident in which officers responded to a disturbance call around 2 a.m. Officers encountered Cynthia Gilbert, 38, acting aggressively and armed with a knife. Footage shows attempts to de-escalate, with one officer saying, “It’s not that serious.” Gilbert then turned toward a group, swung the knife, and struck a man in the head. An officer discharged their firearm, wounding Gilbert in the shoulder. Gilbert was treated at Erie County Medical Center and later indicted.

NEW: Florida woman shot while charging at a police officer with a 16-inch fillet knife after being pulled over. New bodycam footage released by the Port Saint Joe Police Department shows 41-year-old Tikila Walker charging at an officer. Walker had allegedly been involved in multiple hit-and-run incidents leading up to the altercation. Port Saint Joe Police Chief Jake Richards says officers tried to disarm the woman with a taser, which was unsuccessful. Walker was shot twice, once in the right arm and once in the pelvis. She survived the incident. Walker is being charged with aggravated assault with a de*dly weapon on a law enforcement officer as well as resisting arrest with violence.

On July 27, the officer responded to a report of a verbal dispute among family members and as he neared the front door of the residence, a man charged at him, repeatedly attempting to st*b him with a knife. The footage shows an older man and woman emerging from the home, attempting to intervene and stop the suspect.
