I will not bow down to the oppressor. These are today's scenes of security personnel barging into Bahria Town building without any legal justification. Does this reflect the government's priority to demolish rather than encouraging investors? Such illegal and unethical conduct only sends the message that no investor will be safe to do business in Pakistan anymore. These actions will prove to be a killer poison for Pakistan's economic growth. Despite all this persecution, I stand by my position. Authorities cleared the encroachment in minutes but also destroyed a man’s livelihood in seconds. A poor potter lost all his earthen pots when a JCB broke them during encroachment removal. Those pots were not just items they were his only source of income. Rules are important, but so is humanity. If no proper notice was given earlier, could they not wait just one hour? Just one hour to let him save his work. Taking action is fine. But doing it without compassion is not done at least in such cases. Sometimes, being human matters more than being strict.

It means EOCO or whatever authorities usually reach out to most of these guys. Anyone who cooperates, could get help. And cooperation can mean many things, like giving them a portion of whatever they received or sharing details so they help gibberish the situation. In the first place, no one should be able to withdraw such huge amounts from a bank without the bank asking serious questions, unless there are specific banks involved or other arrangements behind the scenes. Whatever happens to most of these guys in the future will mostly depend on how they choose to cooperate.

Have knee pain? These might help… Slantboard reverse step downs - these help strengthen the back of the knee. Start with 8-10 reps on each side x 3-4 sets. Our knees are should be ok with going past our toes, think of going down the stairs. If you don’t have a box or Slantboard you can do backwards walking for 5 min. That will also help. I incorporated these into my routine to help my knees and they both helped wonders!

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to talk to the Western press and realized that the nature and peculiarities of Ukrainian democracy and Ukrainian protest are often unclear to non-Ukrainians, so I would like to clarify some points for the Western audience. No, comparing the peaceful gatherings of the previous few days with the Euromaidan is inappropriate. Unlike in 2013, when Ukrainians spoke out against the authoritarianism and dictatorship of President Yanukovych, today's actions are not aimed at overthrowing the current government, but instead are a form of democratic expression of the will of the people against the adoption of a specific bill and peaceful dialogue with the authorities. The very fact of the possibility of holding such peaceful rallies during martial law and the authorities being capable of listening clearly shows that Ukrainian democracy is currently as strong as it is possible in conditions of full-scale war, and our civil society is mature and capable of using peaceful democratic tools to convey its opinion. The power is truly in the hands of the Ukrainian people, and our society will do everything possible to ensure that this continues to be the case.
