POV: Another phone call from the owner of the truck. According to him, when the driver who was allegedly beaten yesterday arrived at the FRSC, NIGERIA office in Ojodu, he was asked to leave and told to bring the owner of the truck who posted the incident on social media. He also said they warned that the vehicle could be taken to court if the owner did not appear. To all my X family, please help repost and retweet this so the appropriate authorities can look into the matter. If these allegations are true, no driver or truck owner should be treated this way. Every Nigerian deserves to be treated with fairness, dignity, and according to the law. #Justice #Nigeria #FRSC

I 100% agree with Rupert Lowe MP here. A multicultural/multi-ethnic society is fine as long as it doesn't head towards demographic replacement (which it currently is). And the condition for those who come here is assimilation, there can be no other way. They must respect our laws and accept the primacy of our culture in our country, there can be no compromise on this point. There should be no space or place for those who do not meet these basic conditions.

This was Wike condemning state of Emergency and putting whoever you want to put in charge. Regardless of what any of us might think, this is about what is wrong. What is wrong is wrong, and we must be bold enough to condemn it. The president doesn't have the right to remove or suspend an elected governor. There is no provision for a sole administrator. This nonsense can not happen in a sane country. That is Nnamdi Kanu, called Nigeria a Zoo. The constitution is supreme, and everything we do in Nigeria must be guided by the provision of the constitution. We can continue to deceive ourselves or tell ourselves the truth.

There is no excuse for 20 million people paying 40-50% of their limited incomes for housing… We should not be the only major nation on earth not to guarantee healthcare to all people as a human right. The function of a healthcare system is not to make billions in profits for the drug companies and the insurance companies.. it is to provide quality care to all.

i think this is the only right way to handle surrogates by having a contract that says they have no right after birth. surrogates often change their mind when the baby is born and this is just so wrong. surrogate are surrogate not mothers to be.

There's been an unfortunate incident in LA with a Uhaul plowing into a crowd of anti-Khameini protestors This man should never have been able to get near the crowd with a uhaul but some info about the situation seem to be - signage on the truck is anti both the shah and the current ayatollah. is this his actual position or is this camouflage to have gotten into the protest to perpetrate an attack? "no Shah, No regime, No Mullah" Mullah is a religious leader so possibly referring to the current leader and not a king like Pahlavi Timeline appears to be - anti-Khameini protestors try to rip signs off his vehicle and are bashing on the windows and eventually his passenger side window is broken - guy in uhaul then stutterstops forward into the crowd, eventually accelerating further, then stuttering again, then full stopping down the road - there is a man surfing on top of the uhaul in the 3rd video, below I have posted another video showing the man on top of the uhaul trying to take the posters off the side, so he is likely part of the anti-Khameini protestors - uhaul driver is taken into custody by police is this a case of police not having the street sufficiently blocked off and so a guy was able to get a uhaul in here? He should not have been able to drive a uhaul this close to a massive protest crowd There are a lot of people saying this is a terrorist attack, it is possible it could be one but I don't think there's enough information to accurately assert that at this time The chronology of events also shows it is possible that the driver was in fear of his life since protestors were banging on the uhaul, windows, and removing signs+ eventually breaking his window Whatever turns out to be the actual case, it is an unfortunate event and as of right now a seeming silver lining is that no deaths have been reported

I talked to Ms. Meenakshi Natarajan and several other senior Congress leaders yesterday when I learned of this most remarkable and astonishing rejection of her nomination papers by the Returning Officer. This is, on the face of it, patently and blatantly illegal because no criminal case, in the eyes of the law, exists against Ms. Natarajan. This is because, in a private complaint, which anyone can file against anyone, no criminal case comes into existence unless and until the magistrate or the concerned judge takes cognizance. At the highest, in the present case of Ms. Natarajan, there is a notice by a court to her on a private complaint well before that court has taken cognizance, and indeed, the issue of cognizance is yet to be decided after hearing her by that court. So where is the question of a criminal case which she had to disclose? This is well established by Indian jurisprudence, including a High Court judgment directly on point. It is not possible that the Returning Officer took an independent, objective, fair, and impartial stance; otherwise, there is no way in law her nomination could have been rejected.. I hope and trust that the Election Commission in Delhi, the central body, will exercise its inherent, administrative, and superior powers to reverse this decision or order. Otherwise, it would be a very serious violation of the level playing field principle. It would create a highly skewed system in a democratic election, thereby affecting democracy and the basic structure itself. There is still time, since today is the last day for withdrawal. No one can, and should, in a true democracy, be denied even the right to nominate oneself for the Rajya Sabha in this manner. : Abhishek Singhvi ji Chairperson, AICC Law, RTI & HR Dept.
