We are going through a transformational season the likes of which we have never experienced before in our lives. The world is changing and it is changing very fast. The question is- is it changing for the better or worse? At first glance, it appears as if darkness is surrounding us and there is no hope; all is lost. But I urge you to take another look; not with your eyes, but with your faith. When I see all this darkness, I say GOOD! BRING IT ON! Why? Because in darkness faith grows. In darkness, we pay attention to the most granular of details. In darkness, we listen for things we never thought to listen to before. In darkness, we seek out the light. In darkness, we discover our will, our strength, our courage, our fortitude, our limits, our love, our light— we find our faith. We discover God is more real than you could ever imagine and he placed himself in your heart to guide you though anything you will ever face. This is but a Season of darkness, a “PAUSE” that we simply must go through. But No matter the darkness that surrounds us, no matter how great, no matter how powerful, it can never penetrate the threshold of where your light ends. Your faith determines how close that darkness comes to you and those you love. You can be a literal shield for them right now too with your light, your faith. I WISHED THAT HEAVEN HAD VISITING HOURS 😭 A month ago today.......My beloved Mum passed away 😭😭💔💔💔 When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure."...........🌼🌹 A beautiful soul in and out. We were beyond blessed to have you as our Mum. Where do I even begin????? My heart is broken in so many different ways💔 Deeply shattered and devastated 💔 😪 When Dad passed away on May 1st 2021, we knew it was going to be very hard most especially on you Mum. You and Dad were 5&6. After being married for 49 years....you were besties. You called him "kwatak nzugu" meaning "My Shoe" because you both did everything together. For the 33 years that you worked at Dental Centre @ ABU teaching hospital KD, Dad took you to work & brought you back home too when you closed. You had lunch & dinner together except for days where he was out of town. You never learnt how to drive because Dad was always available to take you everywhere. Loosing Dad, your soul mate, left you completely broken. You had struggled for 15 years with a neuro degenerating disease and every Doctor that came in contact with you said you were a walking miracle. Such was the faith that you had, not many will survive what your body endured for as long as you were able to . We knew it was going to be really hard for you carrying on with life without Dad. As your health deteriorated, we prayed like we never did, I had all the hope that you will be here with us for the long haul. We had dreams, we played out all the fun places we were going to travel to, we made a promise to Dad that we were going to take good care of you and will do everything humanly possible to give you the very best. I am glad that we did the best we could in the 2 years that Dad left us. It still feels surreal that you are no more here with us 💔 One thing I know for sure is that you have reunited with the love of your life...you struggled so much without Dad, we had one too many medical emergencies with you, days we thought we were going to loose you but then you will open your eyes and ask us to take you back home. Give Dad lots of hugs & kisses from me. I know for sure that you have reunited with your soul mate and the love of your life. I remember the wide smile you kept flashing at us whenever we call you 'Mrs Lucky" even while you were unconscious. I knew for sure that Dad was right there beside you holding your hands. If our words could make you stay and keep you here on earth for so many years, it would have happened. I will forever cherish the unforgettable memories we created with you in the last 2 years that we lost Dad. I lost count of the number of times we were in and out of the hospital but through it all we never lost faith. A strong woman of faith, your strength of character was unmatched and unrivaled, selfless & sacrificial.....you gave your all even to those whom we felt are undeserving of your love. You spoke your uncomfortable truth at all times. A phenomenonal mother you were. Everything we have and are today, we owe it to You and Dad. You both were amazing and gave us all that you could afford to. You had the most infectious smile, everyone who came in contact with you said that of you. You smiled all through your pain and had the most positive outlook all through your health challenges ✨️ You were our biggest cheerleaders and support system. The midnight prayers, the morning and evening prayers, waking up to see you at midnight on your knees saying your rosary for all for us, for our success and well being.....kai death 😭😭 I feel really lost right now and cant find meaning in what has happened . Loosing you and Dad in the space of 2years is something i never pictured would happened 😞 Life seems so incredibly cruel. RIP Queen Mother 💖🙏😇💜🧡 I miss you both so dearly 💔😭 I wished I had the right words to just go on and on...... A SLAVE TO YOU. 2001 was her peak. It is easy and safe to say “Glad it was not me” and “I would have done it differently”. I see. Fame and Fortune is like dancing with a very large poisons snake and they always win. I have had, in a parallel former life, the chance to work with the very famous on their way up. The first thing I say is: “What goes up, will go down. Your career, your money (maybe) and your brain (most definitely) and just about every friendship”. This will happen to every single complex and all too human, human, some just do a good just a good job hiding it. No one is prepared for wealth and fame. Oh we all talk a big game, but no one is prepared. And the wealth and fame are a guarantee that when you fall, you fall hard. Oh you have the money to protect your fall but because of it your mind falls further than one could think is possible. You are so alone. Your parents, your grand parents, your siblings, your kids they all become part of what I call “The Elvis Syndrome”. To everything your constellation of folks around you say “Yes Elvis, that’s a real good idea”, to everything. See they assume, even if they don’t say it, that you must be a “genius” because they didn’t do what you did and they don’t have the money and fame. They assign genius to you and lesser to themselves. They dare not speak up. They prefer “Yes Elvis, have another fried peanut butter and bacon sandwich. You are not getting fat”. Long ago your burning starlight chased away any true friends, because even if they were strong to say truth, you believed your own public persona like everyone around you. You can not listen, you are the genius they have some job someplace. You also have just two options to anyone around you: 1) Your “crew” 2) People you pay And ironically they merge in to one and the same. All see your public persona and all see you as a means to get paid. Oh you go to “parties” with other rich and famous people but they are one of the above ultimately. You are now just a vehicle for moving money efficiently and surrounded by people that live off this largess. At the peak you may have advisors and they may seem to help. But they dare not tell you what they see even if they could see it. And most can’t see it because no one is prepared for it so they don’t have any better insight. This spans the enter ensemble of people that are now your satellites from gurus to lawyers, from plastic surgery doctors and fitness trainers. So what now? What if your dreams to “make it big”? Abundance does not fix a broken soul. And we all have this. Trauma is a great fuel, it will absolutely get you to orbit and you will shine, but trauma in orbit is the breaks that break you and when gravity wins, and it always does, you have no idea how to navigate going down. Trauma is what I have seen build everyone from Elvis to Steve Jobs. Trauma unresolved took them out. I am not saying your dreams are invalid and should not be your goal, I am saying that you don’t get a pass. No one does. And with fame and fortune it is nearly impossible to address it, because your ego can’t fit in a zip code. As you prepare for you fortune, and if you are reading this, you will have one, prepare your mind. Deal with the dark places that drive you. Make peace with the past, the people that did you wrong and mostly with yourself. But in this bargain you will remove some fuel for your rocket. It is the bargain. But it is the better path. We all will dance with the snake. But hopefully will know it. And you may have fame. Just don’t become a: “Slave to you”.

A SLAVE TO YOU. 2001 was her peak. It is easy and safe to say “Glad it was not me” and “I would have done it differently”. I see. Fame and Fortune is like dancing with a very large poisons snake and they always win. I have had, in a parallel former life, the chance to work with the very famous on their way up. The first thing I say is: “What goes up, will go down. Your career, your money (maybe) and your brain (most definitely) and just about every friendship”. This will happen to every single complex and all too human, human, some just do a good just a good job hiding it. No one is prepared for wealth and fame. Oh we all talk a big game, but no one is prepared. And the wealth and fame are a guarantee that when you fall, you fall hard. Oh you have the money to protect your fall but because of it your mind falls further than one could think is possible. You are so alone. Your parents, your grand parents, your siblings, your kids they all become part of what I call “The Elvis Syndrome”. To everything your constellation of folks around you say “Yes Elvis, that’s a real good idea”, to everything. See they assume, even if they don’t say it, that you must be a “genius” because they didn’t do what you did and they don’t have the money and fame. They assign genius to you and lesser to themselves. They dare not speak up. They prefer “Yes Elvis, have another fried peanut butter and bacon sandwich. You are not getting fat”. Long ago your burning starlight chased away any true friends, because even if they were strong to say truth, you believed your own public persona like everyone around you. You can not listen, you are the genius they have some job someplace. You also have just two options to anyone around you: 1) Your “crew” 2) People you pay And ironically they merge in to one and the same. All see your public persona and all see you as a means to get paid. Oh you go to “parties” with other rich and famous people but they are one of the above ultimately. You open your door and noticed food was delivered by DoorDash, you didn’t order any but notice your neighbor standing out like they are waiting for a delivery, so you take in inside, wait 5 minutes for anyone to claim it and then eat it, but then your neighbor knocks on your door and attempts to confront you about the food. Are you gonna do the right thing and reimburse him or is it not your problem because it was doordash’s fault?

I long for the day Ugandans are mentally free enough to stand up to this bullying. Once we are mentally liberated, our physical liberation will follow. We are already on our way there. A people who refuse to accept oppression in their minds cannot be ruled by force for long. We deserve better, and this moment will not wait for us. We cannot let it pass us by! Look at what they are building! A family dynasty run by the most unqualified people. They have stopped even pretending to serve the people. They take everything for themselves and dare us to object.
