For a studios first action game I think Lost Soul Aside kills it with the combat. There is so much potential when u have multiple weapons

Yeah Lost Soul Aside combat system is peak. Still early but the combo system feels great and it's refreshing to play a classic hack-and-slash action game again. Can't wait to unlock more weapons. Performance is also rock solid on PS5!

Lost Soul Aside reportedly had a budget of just $8 million. Considering that and the small team of around 40 people they actually did a commendable job with the combat. Some of these boss fights and cinematics look very much AAA. The low budget definitely shows in some areas like the VA but combat isn't one of them. I think the biggest issue is the price point, this would have been better off as a $40-50 game.

I'm currently more than halfway through Lost Soul Aside and here are my thoughts so far. 🧵 - The combat is very solid and extremely good. I'm surprised how much is fleshed out even though there's a lot of jank. LSA is also one of the longest action games I've ever played.

The duel gameplay on lethal difficulty is so cinematic in Ghost of Yotei. Enemy AI is aggressive and it feels like they're playing their own game with multiple weapons which creates some great action choreography
