For a while, we thought New York City’s Macy's fireworks would be canceled. Storm clouds rolled in, lightning flashed, and everyone waited for the final decision. Then they started the show 30 minutes early. It was the perfect call. Absolutely incredible. 🇺🇸 Happy Birthday USA!

On July 4, 2012 in San Diego, California, thousands of people gathered for the ‘Big Bay Boom,’ attending what they thought would be a 17 minute show. Instead, 7,000 fireworks accidentally went off all at same time. The fireworks were triggered from a computer however a glitch in the software changed everything. The 17 minute show lasted just 30 seconds but was remembered as one of the greatest firework shows of all time. Happy 4th 🇺🇸

Caroline, Julia, and I were honored to join Secretary Marco Rubio at a reception for the foreign diplomatic corps at the Department of State, where we had an amazing view overlooking the Lincoln Memorial. According to James B. Harris, the preview screenings for Stanley Kubrick's "The Ki!!ing" (1956) were poor. It was said that the poor response was due to the confusing non-linear structure and the movie was ruined because of it. Sterling Hayden's agent suggested to edit the movie again to make the structure linear. Kubrick and others rented an editing room in New York & started to work. Midway through the process, they had the realisation that it was the structure of the book by which they were impressed and took the decision to make the movie. Everyone felt changing it would be wrong. So, they showed the movie with the original structure to United Artists, who thought it was terrific. No changes were made. (James B. Harris's interview to Film Comment, 2015) P.S: On this day, 70 years ago, "The Ki!!ing" (1956) premiered in New York City, USA.

We canceled our very lucrative New York City Fireworks trip based upon the possibility of these storms are gonna happen and wow, did they happen? I always knew the city would figure out a way to do the fireworks out the earlier later but our problem was the two hour ride home would’ve been hell ride.

When the show was first planned, the creators imagined a half hour comedy. They thought each episode would focus on Saul Goodman helping a different criminal client with a funny problem. As soon as we finished that show we all acknowledged in the dressing room that it was a broadcasting experience of a lifetime....that was one of one and never thought it would be topped but low and fucking behold we have something that has topped The Sphere."
