I dont know about the term 'slagging' Mcneil gets criticised because he's unipedal even the pass you mentioned was with his left. He fills a gap on the left but is probably more useful as a midfielder. The sneering comes from Dyche insisting on using a player who runs away a lot.

Nothing wrong with McNeil. He's had a few iffy games but he needs to start atm. Ndiaye and Harrison with DCL or Beto for me. Lindstrom looks like he needs building slowly so you have to give credit to Dyche for recognising that.
