Didn’t carry. Disgusting behaviour from Porter. The momentum had swung in Worcestershire’s favour and they resorted to cheating to win. Extremely poor form and disappointing the umpires let Essex make the decision.

Anyone else noticed how Brookes was looking around with no idea where the ball was, but still felt confident in saying it didn’t carry?

It’s poor from Porter, umpire’s given it so Brookes reaction is irrelevant, to then march up to him and berate him for not walking is needless and classless imo. Brookes can feel rightly frustrated if he feels it didn’t carry, but he’d have had to go eventually anyway.

I suspect the sq leg ump will have had an excellent view and would have intervened had there been an issue
