@DayZ My take on this discussion is that there has been a lot of map creators who make a fairly fatal mistake of releasing way too early. It gives people quite a bad first impression and makes them much less interested in consistently coming back to check out your work

@DayZ There is no such thing as releasing the map to early, there is only people who get to play the map for free by choice and then complain for free once again, by choice.

@DayZ Just because its community made doesn't make it void from criticism. While I can respect the time and effort it takes to learn the different workflows and programs, once you put in the effort and learn, its really not that hard, some things are just tedious.

@DayZ Idk man just because you spend a lot of time or have a lot of passion when you put something out publicly doesn’t make you immune to criticism and critique that’s a normal thing. Having to face those things is the only thing that will make you better.

@DayZ I agree on this when someone is just straight hating without any constructive criticism involved, but feedback especially the negative one is probably the best feedback you can get to push your project forward. It helps you to improve your work based on the feedback given.

@DayZ I’ve always wanted to make a map in DayZ. it’s really hard to do, I tried and didn’t get very far and from that moment on made me appreciate when we get new mods, maps etc
