Don't you just love it when two people who don't belong to a certain minority explain what is and isn't discriminatory against said minority? The "we'd hope that they'd be smart enough" really adds the icing on the cake. Can you imagine if someone did this with any other minority group? Smirking and clapping as they congratulate each other for their opinions on antisemitism without a single Jew in the room.

I am gonna piss a lot of guys here, but the reason they say they prefer natural to fake girls is just an ego response to the insecurity these fake women make them feel. The biggest culprits of it in my experience are French guys who will settle with a hairy armpit orangutan and still shit on the fake girls. Funnily enough I brought one to a bunch of them and they were all puppy dogs, even though some had girlfriends. Like the experience the guy says in that video. The same as women who will say that they don’t like guys with sleeve or neck tattoos. Guess what, they slept with one or more of them before settling for your ass. These are just stories people tell themselves for the choices they have made. Femininity and masculinity traits or signals attract beyond the consciousness, and the response people have towards them is more an indicator of their past than what they truly respond to.

I loved this post from Carl when I read it, and went into our footage to find examples. Check out the video here, and note the way the teachers try to keep their heads up and looking around the room. There's two aspects to that in these videos: 1. A general dispositions of looking around constantly 2. An increased emphasis on it immediately after responding to disruption (of any kind) A lot of the research focuses on teachers who have been doing this for years. It observes them, sees what they are doing, and describes it. But often the vibe is that they do it naturally, that their experience has just sort of led them to acting in a certain way. I think for many that might be right, but we mustn't lose sight of the fact that strategies like this can be taught and assimilated rapidly. For example, in this video Abi was in her ECT year, but has the "gaze" of a teacher with 10 years more experience than her. Great teaching isn't a mystery or a secret. It can be noticed, disassembled, communicated and implemented.
