They need to add two more zeros to that because many of us have have been paying taxes since we were 16 and now in our 60s. All this time, all this time! All my hard earned money has been pilfered and gone to the greedy!

To be honest, we probably need to throw everything we can at paying down the debt. I've been screwed out of 25 years of labor and taxes. Is like to try to make it so my kids don't have to ever know that. Jmo.

I’ve thought the same thing, but our government will see that they’ve cut the debt and will find ways to rack it back up, so like this man said, this is money that is stolen from us paid back in dividends not a check. This is only 20%, the 80% can go towards cutting down the debt. Honestly, I think there are Americans out there really hurting and this will help them, just think about how much of our tax money went towards illegals.

I haven't heard Trump or Musk say they've actually found 2T$ in misappropriated funds. They've said they HOPE to find up to that amount in total fraud, waste, and abuse. Only parts of what they find will be immediate savings. Some will be avoiding recurrence in the future.

We will see. I’m thinking that HOPE is based on evidence. They have found so much fraud in each of the agencies they audited, so if they extrapolate that out across the board, it will probably be around 2 trillion-ish

Perhaps those in Congress found guilty of embezzlement need to lose all their wealth and pay off the debt. Abolish the irs.
