I know a lot of people in the US who have been affected by simply getting fired and literally getting nothing. NOTHING. At Will States are a real thing and it basically says as an employee you are Nothing! So like the lady says…by all means go roll the dice down there.

Exactly, that's what I thought as well.

We have a lot of issues with people leaving animals in cars at the mall. So one summer they had security stopping people and reminding them not to do that as they entered. My American boss was with me and asked what they were doing and then said that was a rights violation! 🤷🏻‍♂️

The grass isn’t very green here in Canada, nothing is free, we paid dearly in taxes. Immigrants coming into the country are getting more than the average Canadian needing assistance. For government-assisted refugees in Canada under the Resettlement Assistance Program (RAP), support includes: • Housing: housing upon arrival and help finding permanent housing. Subsidized or free housing isn’t guaranteed long-term but is provided initially or through provincial programs like the Canada Housing Benefit for low-income renters, depending on eligibility. • Monthly Financial Assistance: A one-time household start-up allowance (typically $1,500-$3,000, varying by province and family size) for essentials. Monthly income support is based on provincial social assistance rates (e.g., ~$733 in Ontario, ~$760 in British Columbia, ~$628 in Quebec for a single person), lasting up to one year or until self-sufficiency. • Other Support: Additional aid may include help with transportation, language training, and job search etc Amounts vary by province, immigration status (e.g., refugee vs. permanent resident), and specific needs. Average Canadian Annual Healthcare Cost: The average Canadian family of two adults and two children pays approximately $15,847 per year for public healthcare (2022 data, adjusted for inflation). Average CPP Payment: The average annual CPP payment for new beneficiaries is $9,697.68, or about $808.14 monthly (as of January 2025). Average Waitlist for Government-Funded Housing: Wait times vary by region, but in Toronto, the average wait for subsidized housing is around 5-7 years, with some waiting over a decade. Average Disability Payment for a Single Person: The average monthly Canada Pension Plan Disability (CPP-D) benefit is approximately $1,100, though it can range from $500 to $1,500 depending on individual circumstances. Annual Disability Denials in Canada: Approximately 40% of CPP disability applications are denied annually, though exact numbers fluctuate (e.g., around 60,000 applications yearly, with denial rates varying). Average Welfare for a Single Person: The average monthly welfare payment for a single person in Canada is approximately $700, but this varies significantly by province (e.g., Ontario's Ontario Works provides about $733/month). These figures are based on the most recent data and general averages, with variations by province and individual circumstances.

So true, 17 million Americans lost their health care and some have been posting they will die because they can no longer afford their prescirptions because of "Trump's big beautiful bill" that gave the 1% wealthy in the US a tax cut. These are Americans that voted for him too some said 3 times and they feel so betrayed.

That doesn't mean Canada isn't broken.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Tell that to the FRONTLINE workers who put their lives at risk during the "deadly covid-19 of 2020" and then get fired in 2021 for not getting the safe and effective covid vaxx.

Canada isn't broken. It's dead & fear mongering about the alternatives to Canada won't stop CDN's from leaving, which they're doing by the 100's of thousands... Prof Richard Florida--👇~850k+ CDN's have fled to U.S. A city the size of Winnipeg. Good for them. #com #cdnpoli

Yay socialism! Can we get more socialism please? It's worked out so well for aboriginal communities on reserves. Also, our elections are a joke. How fair is an election when it's already been decided by the time they count to the Manitoba border? The east is over-represented.

When people need help, it is no longer called welfare. People receive social assistance. The baby bonus was replaced a long time ago by the Canada Child Benefit (ccb). Otherwise, this woman is spot on.

Rightists aren't happy unless they're complaining about something, even if it's non-existant.

Isn’t “Canada is broken” and “we are in the biggest crisis of our lifetime” saying similar things? Why are we focused on one saying and not the other? Are they both lies - if so, then let’s call them both out and take a longer summer break maybe.

I never cease to be amazed at the entire "Free" healthcare and "Free" blah, blah, blah, narrative these morons ascribe to. ***** The poor pay MORE and the rich pay LESS in Canada.***** Oh, and they are basically BANKRUPT. Now, in addition, look up wait times for medical procedures and success of medical procedures in both countries.... you moron.

Oh Please that is the worst self defeating attitude around. Don't worry about the weeds/pests in our own garden because of you look over the fence the neighbours are worse off. Get fkd clean up our mess before talking about others. Glass house's

Perhaps some people who think its broken should move to 'the other side.' Live there awhile to get confirmation. I wont miss them.

So what you are saying is everything in Canada is perfect and Canadian's are crazy for being upset about the parts of Canada that are not working that used to work.

Name 1 thing that is better since your liberals have gotten into power 10 years ago. The funny thing about all you social media leftys is you cannot name a thing that’s better and you continue to believe the same slogans as 10 years ago. When do you think it will change?

Yes it is. You don't leave Canada so all you have is left wing b.s. The U.S. is a lot easier to be in then Canada which is why so many real Canadians go there.

Been in Mexico for 3 years now and am literally laughing at you. Here are the things that are better than Canada: - healthcare (private clinics have US-trained docs) - food (healthier, unprocessed) - weather (no brainer) - and best of all? Very few fucking progressive Canadians

“Free healthcare” is an abomination right now, CPP is at this point in predictable, EI - haven’t had the pleasure, baby bonus? I got two and I got a little.. not life saving after the crippling day care. I worked double for that. I’m looking at Disaster Retoration in Florida right now thanks

So in agreement with this woman. Canadians, with all crap going on with so many parts of the world today, count yourself lucky & focus on the great benefits you have as opposed to all the complaining. Exercise your right to vote or run if you want to promote meaningful change
