@markbutcher72 #Ashes Watch Stokes at the other end. He is watching the play & aware of the situation. When Carey throws it, Stokes turns a d grounds his bat. Stokes knows the ball is live.

@markbutcher72 100% Butch! …I truly don’t understand why people are up in arms about it. What bothered me more was the crowd & long roomers accusing Aussies of being cheats. That definitely isnt in the spirit!

@markbutcher72 Butcher is quite right. The man was out of his crease. The ball dismantled the woodwork. That’s it. The laws of cricket dictate that that’s out. Nothing more to discuss. End of story. Beers with mates after the game is not relevant. Winning the Ashes is EVERYTHING. The end.

@markbutcher72 Agree, I thought Butch had a more important point, which is that all of the distraction of the JB stumping and MS catch has covered up the fact that leg theory (Bodyline in my definition) has returned, was fully utilised by both teams and not adequately policed by the umpires.

@markbutcher72 any other ball in the over , it is out. Last ball of the over, ball through to keeper, umpires on the move at end of over, as the ball hits the stumps. There is the debate, umpires eyes elsewhere, only they can give a decision regarding dead ball.

@markbutcher72 If the Aussies want to win so badly that they resort to this then fair enough. Everyone knows where we stand now. It’s just a shame that seven of the players who definitely cheated by using sandpaper on a cricket ball are still in the Australian team.

@WG_RumblePants @markbutcher72 Confused. Are people saying its cheating or against the spirit of the game? If its cheating then the umpires are cheats too. If its against the spirit of the game- well that had already died in this game when tailenders and injured ones were bounced five times an over.
