One of the things they wanted to discuss was their stance on Hamzat, and Asiwaju denied them access while he was in Lagos. Asiwaju was supposed to commission the project himself, but because he didn't want to meet with the GAC members, he sent Senate President Akpabio to commission it instead, and there is a political undertone to this.
