For more than a week now, trash has been piling up as garbage workers in Paris and other French cities have been on strike, protesting President Emmanuel Macron’s plan to raise the age when most workers begin collecting a government pension to 64, from 62.

Good. The Workers have 100% of the power in any situation! STRIKE!!

Well, the strike culture has always been good in France. Most of the time, they win.

I love when the working class flex their power against the rich and powerful, America take notes

imagine going to paris for the first time and not knowing about the strike and expecting it to be like emily in paris but ended up looking like new york city instead lol

people take these kinds of jobs for granted- even look down on them, until they remind everyone of how important their labor is

Don't forget something : when they will decide to stop this strike, they will be the one to get out these garbages. And it will be rude. They know it. During the Covid, they did their job, with courage. We stand with them.
