I can also see that when you come back from your break, you review the last bit of material you left off on, or briefly skim the previous session’s material, reinforcing what you’ve already learned. Very nice 👍🏾

Needed this

I like that this method acknowledges that energy and concentration levels fluctuate every day. I’m going to try this.

I have an idea, higher funded education, the same way marketers use psychology to sell products, have psychologists help with putting together better education packages to learn from... I'm being vague, but there is room for growth in the way education is presented...

Dawg, I’ma forget to stop the stopwatch gang.

Taking summer classes, and Im doing exactly this right now. Thats crazy. I never knew this was a “study method”. So I dont have ADD?? 😂😩🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️

I always talk with my students about this. I definitely want to share this video with them because it breaks it down even more! Thanks!

This holds great value, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

who is this tima anyway? he seems like someone i might invest my time into

Imma use this next time I fall in a rabbit hole in the name of research

my baseline is sometimes indefinitely and most times 2 seconds. help

What if the initial study time for your baseline is 10 seconds

Learned this in high school.

Oh my non-diagnosed ADHD brain loves this!

This is a really great work technique idea. I do something similar already.

This is a similar effect to when I tried cleaning for 5 minutes with a timer. It was shorter than felt natural so it created a desire to keep cleaning.

This really works I used to do it when I was bombarded with material

I kinda disagree. If i am in the zone, I'd rather not take a break. Because if I do and get distracted, then there goes my excitement and concentration. Poof.

ADHD:

As a college student, one of my professors taught me this in psychology!

This will not work for me. The moment I lose focus, the clock is also out of my mind. I won't realize the clock is still going until my focus comes back 😅

I wish I had a teacher like that. For real he cares and gives you good advice that will help with school work.

I’m going to apply this to other task as well. I swear my focus time is 15-20 mins then my mind starts drifting away……….

It also tends to vary throughout the day. This is a good idea though.

@tea_ba_

Will try this. Thank you. Really when you lose focus when studying and try to force it, it just doesn't go through... @Bhig_Manny thanks for sharing

@RemindMe_OfThis in 2 months. I need to procrastinate a little longer.

Lmao I do this but with 20mins stop time

You tell me this after I drop out

Having earned multiple degrees and studied at the highest academic levels globally, I can confidently say—you either have it or you don’t. This method is solid, but at the end of the day, some people are simply gifted and naturally talented.

I did need this, I’m learning game development on my own and my focus so bad. I got a YouTube playing for Godot learning and been on video one for a week 😭

@murraysmyname Very great tips, thanks for sharing

@shakeema_smalls Oh this is excellent

I been doing this without knowing really, not in traditional school but when in done researching etc I just stop go back and stock when I feel it’s too much to move forward
