THE BROTHERS GRIMM was released 21 years ago today. Matt Damon and Heath Ledger were originally cast in each other’s roles. They both asked Terry Gilliam to switch them because they felt they’d already played those characters before. Gilliam agreed.

McCain advocated releasing the Intelligence Committee Torture Report: “I believe the American people have a right — indeed, a responsibility — to know what was done in their name; how these practices did or did not serve our interests; and how they comported with our most important values.”

Tbh even for most "actors," I think they also only want to do acting part of their career — they're actors first and foremost But the only way they can survive is through events/brand deals etc

We don’t even get these benefits with our own tax dollars that we’ve been paying for most of our lives if not our whole lives, so why should outside non-citizens be getting these kind of benefits when most people are struggling just to put food on the table and pay their bills? Should we not help our own before we help anyone else? 🧐

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard delivers remarks at Rededicate 250 on the National Mall: "250 years ago today, on May 17th, 1776, the Second Continental Congress called for a day of humility, fasting, and prayer. Just weeks before they declared independence, our founders didn't stride forward in pride. They knelt. They asked for God's mercy. They asked for His guidance because they knew that the cause before them was beyond their own strength. Now today, exactly 250 years later, we gather here on the National Mall to do the same, to give thanks, to ask for forgiveness, and to humbly ask once more for God's mercy and guidance as we enter the next 250 years of this republic."

Prof Fikeni, on the matter of how unseriously our leaders and institutions deal with the issue of the appointments of Support Staff* to Political Principals. These people have very important roles, but we are not yet serious about who they are, their backgrounds and suitability for the roles. It’s still dealt with on just…vibes. He suggests there’s a measure of professionalisation needed, and, in general, I agree.

More people should research the history and message the KKK has given all of these years. They protected white people and loved their race. They knew decades ago what the motives of the International Jew was and predicted where we would be at today if we didn't do something about it.

EU's von der Leyen: As Russia's war against Ukraine shows, what happens in our orbits is ever more central to our security. Space is again a great frontier for our prosperity, security, and independence. And just as the capabilities we depend on today are the results of choices made decades ago, the choices we make now, today, will shape our place in space for the decades to come.

America’s producing the most energy we ever have. Our economy’s growing faster than China for the first time in decades. More Americans went to work today than ever. We face our challenges—but we’re the greatest country on Earth. So to Donald Trump: stop shit talking America.

What other crimes did Zelensky ban the Party of Shariy for? I continue to introduce you to these crimes. Our activists were the first in the history of Ukraine to start cleaning up parks in their cities. These parks had been covered with trash for decades. For decades, nobody cared about it. Our guys cleaned up these parks, doing it completely free of charge. It was a unified impulse the likes of which Ukraine had never seen before, and has not seen since. We were restoring the areas where we lived. The cities were becoming cleaner. People did it with pleasure. This is another crime of our party.

Career politicians like Mike Pence are part of the problem, they did nothing for decades while our industrial sector was gutted. President Trump is finally reversing their failed policies and fighting back for American workers. That’s exactly what we saw today.

On Wednesday, they hijacked Big Ben and turned it into a billboard for their genocidal slogan. Tonight they shut down Tower Bridge. We have had people on our streets holding antisemitic placards and glorifying the most barbaric of terrorists. They then moved on to intimidating our lawmakers and disrupting the lives of the public. Now they are making their mark on our national landmarks. When will we say enough? When will this count as sufficient “disruption to the life of the community” for Sir Mark Rowley to invoke his powers to ban this?

20 years ago today, before game 4 of the 2004 ALCS, Kevin Millar made one of the boldest, most memorable proclamations in Red Sox history. It was the rallying cry we needed when we literally had nothing left to lose. And we will never forget it.
