For reference. Here’s Chargers-Broncos on December 24th, 2007.

And a great example before the stretch of football from 2006 - 2011

hey shoutout to the real kickoff and kick return. Damn shame the NFL got rid of it.

The narrative that San Diego fans didn’t show up is so insane. As a city we knew the owner was trying to get out. Why would they continue to show support to a business that doesn’t want to be there especially if they aren’t good.

As a Broncos fan who has been to countless games at Qualcomm and SoFi over the past ~25 years it’s comical anyone would try to say SoFi compares to the Q in the slightest. That place rocked

if you were the owner, would you want this or the value of your franchise going from 1.5 billion to 8 billion dollars?

Are you a bot? They’re worth 6B and have gone down in the value rankings since moving to LA. 24th out of 32 is not a flex. It’s actually embarrassing for an LA team to be ranked that low.

Go check on Forbes! Now: 2022:

@PrellersBurner Lol you don't understand how this works. Of the three teams that paid to relocate, they're the only one that failed to fully capitalize on it, relative to their peers. FAILED.

@PrellersBurner I don't. But you seem to think you are smarter than the owner....

I was at this game 😭

The next season was week 17 snf winner of the game goes to the playoffs and loser is out between chargers broncos. And I was there and there wasn’t a broncos fan in sight. Chargers whooped their ass 52-21

@ginalatina7 That was part of the LT years. Packed the house then. Before and after, not so much

I was at that game - those were good times.

They know the truth, they just can't bring themselves to admit it. That project Los Angeles was a failure and that waiting for these young fans to be the future of the fan base is foolish. They don't even have an AFC Championship game look back on.

Remember when they had the best offense AND defense in the NFL (had never happened before) but still missed the playoffs. That was the death rattle in SD.

you don't think the first christmas eve game in the history of the NFL is skewing perception here 🤣 motivates local fanbase and eliminates all traveling from Denver

Ok here’s not Christmas Eve wise guy .. you could argue less fans would show up on Xmas Eve due to being with their families, etc. so basically you’re just being a hater.. for what? Weird.

no I was just saying it was a bad game to point at as an example because of the circumstances obviously people from out of town wouldn't travel on christmas eve but the idea of going to the first ever xmas eve game would attract enough to fill a stadium as long as they could go home to their families and spend christmas together the next day this is a better example. although it's still east coast Pittsburgh and yes I am a biased Denver fan who fully expects orange to dominate blue anytime we play you all lol

@PrellersBurner Yeah boss, that’s what playing on the road means, you have to travel. The argument is that ever since the rumors about moving to LA started, fans struggled to support the team, which is also pretty common for teams that aren’t doing well, boss.

@PrellersBurner I had rams season tickets for 10 years trust me I get it

@2baja2blessed Those kids better get home. Santa is on his way!

I still have a Santa Chargers hat, but it stays in the Christmas box even after I'm done decorating the tree.

Those were the best Chargers teams ever they in the 2000s they had enough talent to win a Super Bowl. They could’ve won it back in 2006 when they had the best record in the league and were the number one seed

Thank you posting! Who are these weirdos defending the Spanos!? I lived my entire childhood near the stadium. The old Qualcomm stadium parking lot was the most underrated tailgate scene in sports! They will never have that in LA

Me, looking for the single Bronco fan in that stadium. Chargers will never have this in LA. Ever.

And that “big screen” was never changed😂

Now show broncos chargers 2014

Read OP’s tweet

Doesn’t matter embarrassing. People bitch about Diego like they only ever had support for 5 seasons that’s it. The fans never cared about the chargers until they left

mannn fuck Spanos 😭😭

BRING EM BACK

Was at the titans playoff game that year. All chargers fan it was so electric

Was there. What a game Q was alive and raging

Take me back

Was there. Insanely fun!

I was there, it was rocking!

🥹 Qualcomm…

Don’t forget how thousands of fans showed up for a parade after the chargers were DESTROYED in their only Super Bowl. The city loved the Chargers when they weren’t getting crapped on by the Spanos family

Gotta love all the “San Diego Chargers fans” who only seem to remember 2005-2013… y’all are so stupid. Y’all were not showing up to games from 96-2004 when the team was bad. Raiders, broncos, steelers, niners took that stadium over all the time. Petco also was empty until 2017

All cities with nice weather have fair weather fan bases. That's just a fact. The only exceptions are the Cowboys and Raiders (at least before Vegas) because those teams are as much brands as they are teams

aura

I was at this game. It was awesome!

Dean Spanos is a cuck
