I just found out OpenAI gives you $50,000 in free API credits if you do one thing in settings. 🤯 It's called the Data Sharing Program. No free trial exists for the API. But this does. Go to your OpenAI Dashboard → Data Controls → Sharing. Opt in. You get $50,000 in credits for their latest models or 2.5 million tokens for the rest. The catch: your data gets used by OpenAI for training and improvements. So don't use this for client work or anything sensitive. Use it for learning, side projects, and experiments.

every question in this clip is an ownership question, especially data because when everyone has access to the same intelligence, the only input that separates your business from the next one is the data you own your data is decades of decisions, customers, mistakes, and edge cases that exist nowhere else on earth that is the moat and enterprises are waking up to the fact that they've been leaking it one api call at a time my prediction is this: data ownership is going to absolutely matter in the world we're going into and whoever's building the infrastructure for it is going to have a very good decade.

"You can stream AI model outputs into it, or run it like a traditional industrial robot." "The benefit of that is all of that information you can stream and record from those joints… you can use that as the training data." "Frankly, moving a robot with a lever is really crap data for training robots. But this gives you smooth, high-quality motion, without needing two robots.”

If you say people often talk about solving global poverty, essentially, how do we make give everyone a very high standard of living? I think the only way to do this is AI and robotics. I mean this, we need to be very careful with AI. We need to be very careful with robotics. We don't want to find ourselves in a James Cameron movie. We don't want to be a Terminator, obviously. But if you have ubiquitous AI that is essentially free or close to it, and ubiquitous robotics, then you will have an explosion in the global economy and expansion the global economy that is truly beyond all precedent."

"One of the very confusing things about the models right now: how to reconcile the fact that they are doing so well on evals. And you look at the evals and you go, 'Those are pretty hard evals.' But the economic impact seems to be dramatically behind. There is [a possible] explanation. Back when people were doing pre-training, the question of what data to train on was answered, because that answer was everything. So you don't have to think if it's going to be this data or that data. When people do RL training, they say, 'Okay, we want to have this kind of RL training for this thing and that kind of RL training for that thing.' You say, 'Hey, I would love our model to do really well when we release it. I want the evals to look great. What would be RL training that could help on this task?' If you combine this with generalization of the models actually being inadequate, that has the potential to explain a lot of what we are seeing, this disconnect between eval performance and actual real-world performance"
