For saying its INHUMANE what ice is doing. For those asking how we can be okay with what ICE is doing, let me ask you this , how can you be okay with the decline of your own community? When you had the opportunity to show up, sit in that hearing, and listen to an actual Chicago resident testify about what’s happening in our communities, you didn’t come. You didn’t have the courage to face the people living it. Now you want to talk about Chicago? No. You forfeited that right. Keep Chicago’s name out of your mouth. Dearest Vivian, We miss you so much. A year has passed since that terrible day when we lost you and so many other wonderful people. On that day, the foundations of everything we relied on were shaken – trust was shaken, security was shaken. We are in a terrible crisis. Incredible last few minutes of the Rick Rubin / Adam Neumann interview. I got chills listening to this. --- Adam: We'll connected to this week's portion. We all have something that we're slaves to. We all have an addiction to anger, to ego, to power, whatever it is, idol worship that we have. We all have an Egypt. We all need to leave that Egypt, come out of it. When we come out of that Egypt, we all face a Red Sea. When we see that Red Sea, we all need to have the courage to walk into it so far that we drown. Only when we're willing to drown will the Red Sea be split and we'll go to our next level. We then go to our next level. We see the Red Sea split. Suddenly we're like, oh, everything is okay. And we forget. The moment we forget, we step into the desert. We all have to walk through our version of desert. That desert is between us, us, and God. No one else. The only decision we get to have is how long we're going to journey through that desert. Are we going to journey for 14 days like the children of Israel were supposed to? Or are we going to journey for 40 years because we're not learning our lesson? Our choice is not, are we going to get into the desert or not? It's how long will we be in. And once we go out of that desert, we all have our version of the promised land. And if we have the courage to look inside, see our own correction, our own limitation, look at it clearly now and say, I see you, and I'm going to get over it. I'm going to learn. I'm going to grow. I'm going to understand that life is not about falling down. It's about how I'm going to get up. I'm going to fall 1,000 times so I can get up 1,001 times. We may be few, but our love for you has always been bigger than words could hold. Even when you never asked, we stayed. We stood by you in silence, and when silence wasn’t enough, we spoke up, especially in the moments when you were treated unfairly. We tried to understand you the best we could, patiently, even when it broke our hearts a little each time. And not once did we regret loving you, or choosing to support you. Right now, we are giving everything we have left, so that when the day comes that we can no longer remain in all this noise and chaos, we can leave knowing we gave our all, with no regrets. :)

We have several businesses and there are also funds that need to be used. What will our retirement look like? I think it’s good to start planning early, how much we would want to spend in retirement, and how we can generate income now to support that in the future. Most of it is really about financial planning. 🗣️: And what about Tul? Mew : It’s something we talk about all the time. We both feel that when we get older, we want to live comfortably together. So we’re working hard right now so that life will be easier for us when we’re older.

They make six figures. But when our communities are hurting, when families are being shot, when teenagers are taking over the streets, and when citizens are begging for public safety, where are they? We had multiple mass shootings in about a week and a half. Then we had a Public Safety meeting, and the chambers should have been packed. Every elected official should have been there asking, “How do we stop the crime? How do we protect the citizens of Chicago?” But look around. Empty. Now compare that to when ICE was here. The chambers were full. Officials we never see showed up. Press conferences were held. Lawsuits were discussed. They showed up fast to protect illegal aliens. Just a week ago, we were notified that Mexico was preparing to release millions of gallons of sewage into our region. Thanks to public pressure, awareness, and advocacy—Mexico is now redirecting that sewage to their own treatment plant instead of dumping it into the U.S. We are cautious, but this could be a huge win for our communities, our coastline, and our environment. It proves that when we raise our voices, we can protect what matters. Let’s keep up the fight for clean water and accountability!
