For second consecutive Friday I remain under house detention — with every lane and by-lane to my residence barricaded, causing inconvenience to the entire neighbourhood . Let me make it clear to the rulers , the memory of our martyrs cannot be regulated by them. It resides in our... hearts . Facts and history cannot be erased by lockdowns and barring people from visiting the martyrs graveyards or stopping me from going to Jama Masjid on Fridays , not by appeasing narratives or shameful communal distortions, if it resides in the collective memory of people, which it does. The Marty’s of July 13 1931 were the frontrunners of the political movement in Kashmir; a people’s just struggle against oppression. They are and will remain our inspiration.show more

With deep emotion and reverence we pay our respects and glorious tributes to our first Martyrs, who 95 years ago on this day, by their supreme sacrifice laid the foundation of the people’s struggle for justice, dignity and human rights. A struggle that continues. It is painful and unfortunate that the people of Jammu Kashmir are prevented by force, from offering fatiha and paying homage to the martyrs, as all roads leading to Mazar-e-Shuhada, Naqshband Sahib, are blocked and barricaded and restrictions imposed around Jama Masjid Srinagar and I have once again been placed under house arrest. Graveyards may be sealed, roads blocked and people confined, the Martyrs live in our hearts, and our collective memory for all times. May Allah grant them and all the Shuhada e Jammu Kashmir the highest place in Jannah. Ameen. Salam to Shuhada-e-Kashmir

Today, we in Ukraine remember our people who were killed by Russian barbarians in Olenivka. It stands as one of the most horrific Russian crimes in this war. Russia must be held accountable for this, and they will be. There is no scenario where the murderers remain unpunished. Eternal memory to all our people who were killed by the occupiers.

“Diversity is our strength” and “celebrate our differences” said on air today of all the days. I just cannot believe it. I wonder if the families of the 30 people in hospital and 12 people slaughtered by a terrorist will be “celebrating our differences”.

The diktat from the Bangla Birodhi Zamindars that MPs cannot say ‘Jai Hind’ or even ‘Vande Mataram’ in Parliament is an attack on the very soul of our democracy. ‘Vande Mataram’ is our national song. ‘Jai Hind’ is the slogan of every Indian. These are not empty words; they were the cries of those who fought and sacrificed for our freedom. To try and erase them is to try and erase our history. Is this what they mean by governance, silencing the voice of a state that has always stood for democracy, secularism, and the unity in diversity of our country? Bengal is not outside India. It is not a footnote to be ignored. It is an integral, proud part of this nation. And let it be clear: we will not let anyone erase our identity, our history, or our rightful voice in Parliament. Vande Mataram. Joy Hind. Joy Bangla.

🟢 THREAD: (1) Highlights from the speech of Dr. Khalil al-Hayya, newly elected head of Hamas’s Political Bureau: ⭕️ Our steadfast and persevering Palestinian people, our Arab and Islamic nation, members of our resistance movement, I speak to you today after my brothers in the movement entrusted me with a heavy responsibility that even mountains would struggle to bear. ⭕️ It is a great trust and an immense responsibility by its very nature, especially as we pass through a delicate and sensitive stage in the history of our national cause. This trust is the legacy of the righteous martyrs who planted this blessed tree and watered it with their pure blood until its trunk grew strong and it stood firmly, astonishing those who planted it and enraging its enemies. ⭕️ The first thing we affirm is that we will continue on the same path and in the same footsteps, carrying the banner high and flying until it is raised over Al-Aqsa and throughout a free and proud Palestine, for which the free and sincere members of all the forces and factions of our people have struggled and fought. ⭕️ I salute our steadfast Palestinian people, who resist, persevere, remain rooted in their land and hold firmly to their rights, from the Buraq Revolt and the Qassam struggle, through the Great Revolt and the successive waves of revolution, to the blessed Intifada, the Al-Aqsa Intifada and ultimately the great Al-Aqsa Flood. Generation after generation, in Palestine, in refuge and across the diaspora, our people have affirmed that they are a steadfast people of resistance who will not surrender, who will not forget their land or their rights. No right is ever lost when there are those who continue to demand it. ⭕️ A salute of reverence and honor to the souls of our righteous martyrs, to our courageous prisoners and to our blessed wounded. I especially extend my deepest salute and absolute loyalty to our steadfast and persevering people in proud Gaza. Official website, Hamas

Zelenskyi with a touching adress to the Ukrainian people, and the world, on Ukraine’s day of independence. — Ukraine. Our land. Given by God. Kissed by the sun. Lulled by the winds. Tempered by fire. Protected by her sons and daughters. It cannot be confused with anything. It cannot be given to anyone. Happy Independence Day of Ukraine!

Today, from the stage of Shahid Dibas, I paid my tributes to the martyrs who laid down their lives on July 21, 1993, for something as fundamental as the right to vote freely. I was overwhelmed by the strength, discipline and unity of lakhs of Trinamool Congress workers who travelled from every corner of Bengal to make this solemn event a resounding success. Each year, this gathering becomes more powerful, not just in numbers, but in spirit. We are now in BATTLE MODE for 2026. Unlike BJP, which survives on the might of money, agencies, and propaganda, Trinamool Congress is powered by the WILL OF THE PEOPLE. The BANGLA-BIRODHI ZAMINDARS, in their arrogance, have repeatedly insulted our language, our culture, our icons and our identity. From desecrating the bust of Vidyasagar to weaponising the Assam Foreigners Tribunal to target Bengali-speaking citizens in our state, their every move exposes their contempt for Bengal. If they insult the language we say ‘Maa’ in, we will speak it louder. If they try to erase our identity, we will etch it deeper. This fight for 2026 is a MORAL and CONSTITUTIONAL one. If BJP dares to tamper with Bengal’s voter rolls or attempts to push our people into detention camps, we will not remain silent. We will fight democratically, fearlessly, and if necessary, take the movement to Delhi once more. And so, with the strength of 10 crore voices united in resolve, I say this: Come 2026, WE WILL UPROOT THE BANGLA BIRODHIS FROM BENGAL’S SOIL, once and for all.

The Smithsonian does not belong to the President or a political party. It BELONGS TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE! As one of the greatest historical and cultural institutions in the world—it is the keeper of our story in all its complexity, triumph, and tradition. We will not let them rewrite our history! We will fight back in Congress, the Courts, and in our Communities because this is OUR story!

Puntland First is not just an idea, it is a movement that has already captured the hearts and minds of our people, both in the diaspora and at home. From the living rooms of Puntland to the classrooms where our children dream, from the main square of Puntland to the sports arenas where our youth unite, Puntland First is everywhere. It is alive in the spirit of our people. It is here to stay. It is here to serve. And it belongs to every Puntlander, wherever they may be.

Today we honour 64 years since the proclamation of West Papua’s national identity on December 1st, 1961. This video captures a historic and emotional moment: the People of West Papua standing together with the ULMWP Provisional Government and the People’s Representative Council (PR PWP) in a united celebration across our land. From the capital Port Numbay to the mountains, valleys, islands, and coastlines of all seven regions of West Papua, our people raised their voices, their culture, and their spirit as one. Despite the challenges, the intimidation, and the risks, West Papuans showed once again that our identity, our unity, and our dream for freedom cannot be erased. This 64th anniversary is not only a celebration — it is a reminder of our long journey, our resilience, and the unbroken hope carried from generation to generation. The people remain strong. The movement remains united. And the spirit of December 1st continues to live in every corner of West Papua and in the hearts of our people everywhere.

Again disallowed from going to Jama Masjid on a Friday for the second consecutive week . As I raise people’s issues and concerns from the pulpit as is my duty, it seems to make the authorities jittery and uncomfortable , so lock him up! As if by locking me up issues will disappear and realty altered. But an authoritarian mindset can’t think beyond .. strongly condemn my house arrest and the imprisonment of thousands of Kashmiri prisoners who are victims of this mindset.

"If the government reaction is to crush by naked force our non-violent struggle. We will have to reconsider our tactics. In my mind we are closing a chapter on this question of a non-violent policy." Cde President Nelson Mandela in the buid up to the ANC's decision to form the People's Army, Umkhonto weSizwe (The Spear of the Nation) by the end of 1960 after popular resistance seemed to be crushed with the most inhumane and savage attacks by the murderous apartheid regime against the peaceful and non-violent liberation struggle led by the ANC & the alliance movement. It was an ANC decision to form Umkhonto weSizwe and therefore, there can never be any such a Spear of the Nation, outside of the ANC. Umkhonto weSizwe is the brainchild, history & property of the ANC, built in the difficult trenches of our liberation struggle, whose aim was to hit back at the apartheid regime by all means within our power in defence of our people, our future and our freedom, led by the ANC. 63rd Anniversary of Umkhonto weSizwe

BREAKING: IRAN MESSAGE TO PALESTINE AND MUSLIMS IN THE REGION: Spokesman for the Khatim Al-Anbiya Headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces: “Our defense is a defense of the dignity of the Islamic Ummah. To the Muslim brothers in the region and our loved ones in the land of Palestine, and especially patient Gaza: Today, from the Islamic Republic of Iran, we speak to you honestly and from the heart; a word of loyalty, love, and brotherhood. The Islamic Ummah and the Palestinian people have always been alive in the conscience of the people of Islamic Iran. Its name, since the first days of the victory of the revolution, has been imprinted in our awareness like a banner for a right that never falls, and for a nation that cannot be worn down no matter how heavy the hardships are, and whose will cannot be broken no matter how dire the events become. We tell you that today we are not fighting only to defend ourselves, nor only to avenge our own martyrs, but we are also fighting to defend the grievances of the Islamic Ummah, the Palestinian people, and their martyrs, who have a steadfast and deep-rooted share in this position. Palestine has never been the issue of one nation alone; rather, it has always been, and will continue to be, an issue of dignity, right, and justice, and an issue of the entire Islamic Ummah. O Islamic Ummah and O people of Palestine, do not think that you are alone in this battlefield against the usurping zionist regime; we are with you, upon a covenant that does not change and upon a position that does not waver. You are the nation of return and dignity; a nation that knows how to be patient, how to remain steadfast, and how to preserve its right from generation to generation. We pledge to you that we will remain steadfast by your side on this path until the right reaches its people and dear Palestine returns, free and proud, to its original owners.”

Our campaign and the Komboa Kenya movement will not be funded by cartels, because it is a movement by the people and for the people. Every shilling given by an honest Kenyan carries more value than any cheque written in pursuit of favour. This is a campaign built on trust, sacrifice, and a shared belief in a better future for our country. Stand with it. Support it. Own it.

Alhamdulillah! allowed by the authorities to attend the Friday prayers at #JamaMasjid and address the faithful after a gap of one month. As the Mirwaiz it is my duty to utilise this pulpit to call attention to issues that affect our society—be they of religious, political, social or economic nature ,and provide guidance in the light of Islamic teachings and values and on moral principles. Every Friday we are left wondering whether I will be allowed to go and fulfill my responsibilities . This uncertainty is not just for me—it affects the entire community, which for generations looks to this pulpit for guidance on matters of faith and on issues and challenges faced by them . I sincerely hope that from now onwards the approach of creating hurdles and imposing restrictions will cease , and I will be uninterruptedly allowed to do my job.
