There is a widespread notion, voiced recently by Plies and echoed in popular culture, that money is the foundation of leadership and power in society: only those with wealth, like Donald Trump, attract true followers and influence. It is a fact that, in contemporary Western governance and democratic systems—as well as in most successor states—economic capital dominates who holds political, social, and even cultural authority. Resources buy campaigns, security, visibility, networks, and loyalty. However, this is not the only model in history or in the world. Among indigenous nations, Black royal houses in the Western Hemisphere and Africa, and in the Islamic, Catholic, Voodun, mound faith, and other native kinship systems, leadership is often rooted in lineage, spiritual authority, service, wisdom, or initiation—sometimes regardless of wealth. Respect flows from ancient succession, sacred mandates, sacrifice, communal trust, and continuity of tradition—even when material riches are lacking or deliberately renounced. Many of our greatest royal and indigenous leaders have lived and led without economic privilege, wealth, or even basic comfort. This is not only a historical reality but the actual circumstance of many contemporary traditional, spiritual, and even royal figures—including myself. Though born of very powerful royal and ancestral lines, I have experienced firsthand the obstacles of modern trust law, asset obstruction, socioeconomic exclusion, and legal denial, often living humbly and earning my daily bread. Yet, the legitimacy to rebuild, revive, and restore my ancestors’ governments, languages, spiritual and legal systems remains—because it is grounded in an unbreakable chain of cultural and ancestral continuity, not bank balances. True leadership among indigenous and Black royal traditions is measured by ability to give, to teach, to sacrifice, to maintain culture and unity, to serve one’s kin. Wealth, when present, is a blessing but not the determinant of legitimacy. Without roots, law, language, and spirit, money alone cannot lead. As we work to reestablish and revive our ancestral governments, even amidst economic hardships, let us remember that our worth and legitimacy come not from money, but from the living power of our peoples, lineages, faiths, and the restoration of living cultures. May all leaders, with or without riches, lead in honor, service, and truth. S.M. Sad but true

You don't know how to unify because you call normal black folk who don't wish to be used by the DemoKKKratic party "coons" and "Uncle Toms". You're food.

You not wrong bruh. The thing is the system was designed this way centuries ago before you and I was born. Yeah we progressed over the years but our downfall like you said is unity. Basically we don't know how to unify because we always since slavery had to figure it out on our own
