For the elevator scene, Chris Evans spent weeks working on his timing so his movements would sync with Journey’s music. Ironically, much of the dancing that made the scene iconic was improvised on the day of filming.

A test audience, who saw "Top Gun" (1986) before it was released were annoyed that there was no love scene in the movie. Five months after the production had wrapped, the producers summoned Tom Cruise and Kelly McGillis to Chicago to film the infamous elevator scene and the s€x scene. During their time away from the set, McGillis had lost approximately sixteen pounds, and Cruise was filming "The Color of Money" (1986), so his hair was much longer in those two scenes. McGillis' hair was also much darker. That's why she hid it underneath a cap in the elevator scene & in the lovemaking scene, it was all silhouette because of the colour of her hair.

The iconic heist sequence in Jules Dassin's "Rififi" (1955) lasts more than half hour. The scene does not contain a single line of dialogue or music. But George Auric, the composer of the movie thought that it would be a disaster to have the scene without music. Dassin told Auric he did not want music, Auric claimed he would "protect [him]. I'm going to write the music for the scene anyways, because you need to be protected". Once the filming was finished, Dassin showed the film to Auric both with and without music. After seeing both the versions, Auric turned to Dassin and admitted, that the scene should be "Without the music".
