Love Amen but I find it strange he’s already on vacation. Seems really quick and gives me the impression that he doesn’t really care abt losing in the playoffs. I mean I missed school Monday-Wednesday bc I physically couldn’t go I was so upset abt the loss. Today was my first day back and it was so rough l had to get picked up, so seeing him laughing and going down water slides like nothing happened is really upsetting. I guess my point is Amen is the last one on the team I expected this from. Not planning on going to school tmrw.

I did something today that I haven’t done in years. We had some family in town for a funeral so we decided to take them shooting . We blew up an old piano I had bought several years ago that was just in a barn collecting dust. I got the first shot, and after a bit of trial and error, user error basically, I finally hit the target. The video isn’t great but you can see my enjoyment afterwards when I was jumping up and down.

JADE gets emotional reflecting on her North American tour in a new TikTok: “I’m having so much fun on this tour. I just feel so grateful that I’m getting to do this at this point in my career. The fact that I get to tour [North America] after being in the industry for 15 years, and only now just getting to do my own headline tour, is incredible. It’s been a long time coming. What’s really beautiful about these shows is that when I look into the audience, I recognise so many of the fans here from back in the day, who’ve literally waited for years – like me! – for this moment. It just makes me feel so loved and supported to know people have believed in me enough to stick around for years waiting for this to happen. Anyone that’s bought a ticket, dressed up, made their own costumes… It’s just such a lovely, beautiful thing. For ten years I ripped around in that bad boy. I wasn’t what one would call “car savvy” and so it was about three years in, during my drive to a session one day that I finally tried the button for the sun roof. I was on the phone w my dad at the time, middle of the highway and started screaming…”oh my gawd I have a convertible!” That story lives on as one of my family’s fav “oh Carly” moments. Today was the day. I gifted my mother $10,000. Something I dreamed of in the start of my trading journey. My parents have always been there for me. At first they didn’t believe in my journey, yet still they supported me. I promised them MULTIPLE TIMES that I was going to take care of them, yet the only thing they did was laugh it off. Yet here we are. Why do I trade? To provide to my family and to the ones that supported me. To achieve all the goals that 18 year old me set out to achieve. I was lost, yet I didn’t stop because I knew that I had bigger things planned for me. Was it hard? Absolutely. Was it worth it? Absolutely. After 3 years of putting the work in, I became profitable, and now, 5 years in, I’m able to provide to myself and my family…and that’s the only thing I care about.

I think what’s so poetic about this image is that it was unintentional. I had my phone set up to record the launch and at about 40 seconds into the launch, it hit me that this is the FIRST TIME a woman is going to the moon. My mother and grandmother were alive during the Apollo missions but this is the FIRST time they’re witnessing a woman making that journey. My heart filled and I turned the camera to capture my reaction in that exact moment. I’m so glad I did. The image you’re seeing is a woman in STEM in awe over Christina Koch - and the impact her journey will have on millions of girls around the world.
