You purchase a motorcycle for your son. One day a Karen neighbor comes out and gets in your son’s face telling him he can longer ride the bike up and down the street. She then proceeds to record him saying she’s going to post this on Facebook even though recording a minor is illegal. She also asks if they’re from another country almost like to offend them. So who is in the wrong! Is the Karen wrong for stopping the boy and recording him or should be stop riding his bike on the street.

The Today Show interview got better for Karen Read as it went on, and she responded to the comment about how John was being lost in all of this perfectly: "He's not lost, he's the reason we're doing this." This needs to be emphasized more because it's the most common criticism of her detractors. Karen is John's voice. There would be no justice for John O'Keefe if she was convicted. She and her team have done more to shed light on what really happened to him than anyone who claims to be fighting for him while trying to put her in prison. She really humanized him with this answer, telling the public who John really was, and what a tremendous loss this was for everyone. We rarely heard this from her during the trial and it was powerful. The antis have tried to take ownership of John's legacy and she took it back with this answer. I know Karen cared for John because she sent me pictures of him that showed what a good father he was, and pictures of her with the kids that showed how much they liked her. She asked me not to share them publicly because she didn't want to exploit them, but she wanted me to know what a tremendous loss it was for the kids.

The judge is not having it from this one. This is 18 year old Kaitlyn Jones and she was arrested for assaulting a 14 Year old middle schooler and posting the attack on Tik Tok. The defense decided to plead no contest to the charges with hopes for a deferred sentence. Upon reviewing her case and history, the judge is not being fooled by her. Her request for a deferred sentence was denied and in the end she was sentenced to 45 days in jail and one year probation.

“Because I know I’m right.” In my recent The Free Speech Union podcast interview, I was asked why I continue to speak publicly about women’s sex-based rights - despite the personal and professional cost. Despite it wrecking the business I spent 10 years building - while undergoing treatment for breast cancer. And despite the impact on my personal life - like my choir being dropped from performing at the London Marathon, on account of my 'views'. I was also asked why I’ve never bowed to pressure to apologise, as some people do. The answer is simple: because I know I’m right. We also talked about journalism - and how, for me, journalism means a commitment to accuracy and truth. Even when that truth is uncomfortable. And how galling it has been returning to the profession after a break - and seeing some journalists continue to report inaccurately on sex and gender. For example, describing male crimes as having been committed by women, or using female pronouns for individuals who are clearly, visibly male. My decision to return to journalism was definitely influenced by a desire to keep the issue on the agenda - and continue to challenge inaccurate reporting and support the efforts of groups like SEEN in Journalism.
