🚨🇺🇦🚀 Ukrainian defense company Fire Point says its long-range FP-9 ballistic missile is approaching the final stage of development, with CEO Iryna Terekh saying the company plans to demonstrate a capability to reach Moscow by the end of autumn. Terekh stressed that Fire Point develops the weapon but does not select its targets, saying any decision on how the missile is used belongs to Ukraine’s Armed Forces. She personally expressed a desire to see Moscow targeted. According to Terekh, Fire Point began working on ballistic missiles less than two years ago: the shorter-range FP-7, with a range of 250–300 km, is already completed and undergoing codification, while the FP-9 is designed for a range of around 850 km and still faces a series of tests. 🔥 If the FP-9 successfully completes development and enters service, it would substantially expand the reach of Ukraine’s domestically produced ballistic arsenal. More importantly, it would give Kyiv another long-range strike platform developed at home, reducing its dependence on foreign-supplied systems and the political restrictions that can accompany them. The FP-2 drone from Fire Point became one of the major discoveries of 2025 on the front line. The FP-2 drone can carry a 105-kg warhead over a distance of more than 200 km. In 2025, the drone struck a Russian helicopter in mid-air for the first time and destroyed an Russian military vessel during a raid. Previously, the FP-2 had been used by units of the Special Operations Forces (SSO) and military intelligence (HUR) to strike command posts and fortified ammunition depots. Denys Shtilierman, co-owner of Fire Point, said work is ongoing to increase the FP-2’s operational range. 📷 Serhii Okuniev / NV

❗️❗️❗️🇺🇦 According to Denis Shtilerman, chief designer of the Ukrainian company FIRE POINT (which produces cruise-ballistic missiles and long-range kamikaze drones), the Ukrainian strike drone FP-2, after modernization, has increased its combat payload to 200 kg and its flight range to 370 km. 💣 Thus, with medium-weight kamikaze drones carrying almost glide-bomb-level warheads operating in FPV mode, Ukrainians will be able to conduct powerful strikes across the entire front zone, including the Crimean peninsula — something they previously did with the earlier version of the FP-2, which had a 105 kg warhead and a range of 220–250 km. Russia installed anti-drone cages around the VNIIR-Progress plant in Cheboksary. Ukraine sent a Flamingo. The cages didn't help. The FP-5 Flamingo is a Ukrainian-built cruise missile with a 3,000 km range and a 1,150 kg warhead - developed by Ukrainian firm Fire Point. Cost per unit: around $500,000, roughly one quarter of a US Tomahawk. VNIIR-Progress, now ablaze, produces the Kometa navigation modules used to guide Shaheds, Kalibr missiles, Iskander-M and precision glide bombs - the same weapons Russia uses to strike Ukrainian cities. The plant sits 1,000 km from Ukraine's border. The Flamingo reached it anyway.

Footage from the 40-Day War shows the moment the warhead separates from an Iranian Ghadr-M (Qadr-M) ballistic missile over the skies of Israel. Iran used a liquid-fueled Ghadr missile for the first time equipped with three separable, maneuverable warheads. Each Qadr-M warhead, weighing around 200–250 kg, could reportedly guide itself after separation and hit different targets. This appears to be Iran’s first known use of Multiple Independently Targetable Reentry Vehicles (MIRVs). The capability is likely still at an early stage, but if further developed, it could significantly complicate air defense operations.
