With Congress, AAP, farmer unions, and several other political groups stepping in, this is no longer just a student protest. Innocent students are now at risk of being used to further political agendas. At this stage, the movement is no longer entirely in CJP’s hands either. The more political parties get involved, the more students risk being exploited, causing greater damage than the paper leak itself. Justice should come through an impartial investigation by agencies like the CBI or other competent authorities. If today’s demand is Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, tomorrow it will be someone else’s, and then another’s. Where does it stop? The focus gradually shifts from accountability for the crime to a cycle of political resignations. Did Abhijeet or Saurav speak about the students who were injured? I didn’t see that discussion. Instead of keeping students’ welfare at the center, the issue is increasingly turning into another political battleground. We need to think beyond politics and focus on what truly matters: justice for the students, accountability for those responsible for the paper leak☺️🙏🏻

He said his father had been held in various concentration camps in Poland before he was able to come to Britain as a refugee, and that it was "absolutely shameful" that the UK refuses to do the same thing today for those trapped in war zones like Gaza. If you were wondering who he is, he is reportedly associated with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Jammu & Kashmir and is described as a close associate of Mehraj Malik, AAP's sole MLA in the J&K Assembly. Mehraj Malik himself was detained under the Jammu & Kashmir Public Safety Act (PSA) in September 2025. According to the detention dossier, authorities cited 18 FIRs and 16 daily diary reports between 2014 and 2025 and alleged that his activities were prejudicial to public order. The bigger question is this: why are individuals with political affiliations turning up at what is projected as a purely student-led movement? If this is only about students, why do political networks keep surfacing in the background? That's a question worth asking.

I know this turn of event follows For The Records exposé on this issue Let’s revisit what the law says from the Political Party Act 2000 (Act 574) PART III-FUNDING OF POLITICAL PARTIES Section 23: Contribution by Citizens. Only a citizen may contribute in cash or in kind to the funds of a political party. A firm, partnership, or enterprise owned by a citizen or a company registered under the laws of the Republic at least seventy-five percent of whose capital is owned by a citizen is for the purposes of this Act a citizen. Section 24: No Contribution by Non-Citizens. A non-citizen shall not directly or indirectly make a contribution or donation or loan whether in cash or in kind to the funds held by or for the benefit of a political party and no political party or person acting for or on behalf of a political party shall demand or accept a contribution donation or loan from a non-citizen. Section 25: Contraventions of this Part. Where any person contravenes section 23 or 24, in addition to any penalty that may be imposed under this Act, any amount whether in cash or in kind paid in contravention of the section shall be forfeited to the State and the amount shall be recovered from the political party as debt owed to the State. The political party or person in whose custody the amount is for the time being held shall pay it to the State. A non-citizen found guilty of contravention of section 24 shall be deemed to be a prohibited immigrant and liable to deportation under the Aliens Act, 1963 (Act 160). The provisions of sections 23 and 24 do not preclude a goverment of any country or a nongovernmental organization from providing assistance in cash or in kind to the Commission for use by the Commission for the collective benefit of registered political parties.
