A friend asked me how life is in Khan Younis, and whether it is even possible to live here. This is Khan Younis—its homes and its streets. There is no life, no basic means of living. The situation is unstable, and shelling and destruction continue in eastern Khan Younis. Very few houses remain standing, and even those are heavily damaged. Khan Younis was once a beautiful city. Today, it has become a ghost city, with no life left in it.

Why would we be afraid? We’re protected by the best air defenses in the region. I moved here a year and a half ago, and I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. Grateful every single day to call it home.
