Lithium mining activity going on at the Old Oyo National Park, the first frame showed the sorting process of the earthy minerals at the Old Oyo National park while the other two videos shows logistics activities of the bikes. Ranging from there are multiple entries to the site either from Oyo State via Kishi and Igbeti or via Bani a border town along Kwara and Oyo State. Once a bike enters the forest, there are about 7 - 8 checkpoints within the forest which is controlled by locals providing security for miners in the forest. Each of this checkpoint charges each bike per trip ranging from 100naira, 200,300 and 500naira while the last checkpoint which will lead you to Daba (illegal mining) charges 2,700naira per trip. And the estimated population of the bikes plying through the area is around 3000 to 5000 bikes. Which is significantly increasing, the mining which has started about 8yrs ago has been accepted by all parties both locals and foreigners including the Chinese who are actively participating in buying the minerals there. It is an organized crime and has many wings because those who do not mine but just look for logistics companies to pick up the items earn about 500,000 naira on each truck they bring forward. The local security earn more than 300,000 naira daily for those recieving 100naira as gate fee. The Federal Govt and State Govt needs to pay a huge and urgent attention to this mining activity, it is a billion dollar economy which is been illegally mined.

This driver is trying to ma a left turn and the car on the opposite side stops and makes a path for them to turn. As the car starts to turn, an electric bike in the bike lane comes speeding down and well, as you can see, smashes into the car and flips over the front. Luckily he gets up and is walking. He could have been seriously injured. To me, this is quite literally why they say you’re not supposed to just stop in the middle of a street to let someone turn. Some are saying it’s the red car’s fault for stopping and letting the driver turn. Others are saying in their state, an electric bike is like a motorcycle and has to obey the traffic laws. Who is at fault? Do you think the electric bike should have been in the bike lane traveling that fast? The red car for letting the car turn left when it can’t see, or is it the drivers responsibility to make sure all is clear before proceeding?

Electric motorbike riders operating in Nairobi are lamenting what they term as persistent harassment and extortion by County enforcement officers within the Central Business District and its environs. In a message shared with this publication, one rider, who frequents areas such as Kilimani, Kileleshwa, Westlands, Lang’ata and occasionally the CBD, described a recent encounter where he claims he was arrested at the junction of Harambee Avenue and Moi Avenue without any clear offence. "Hey Cyprian, maze talk about this issue. I am a motorist operating with an Uber electric bike mostly in Kilimani, Kileleshwa, Westlands, Lang’ata and sometimes CBD. My issue is that I feel kanjos are being too much every time I am in town. They arrest you for no reason, they demand bribes and if you do not give them, they take you to City Hall. Worst part is that once your bike gets to City Hall, no one listens to you. I mean they will do anything they want to you. I mean that place is HELL BR for the motorists. Today I was arrested at the junction of Harambee Avenue and Moi Avenue just before joining Moi Avenue without a cause. My bike was taken to City Hall when I refused to give the bribe. I had to pay Ksh 2,000 for my bike to be released from City. Now Cyprian, tell me, this bike I am paying for on daily basis, I am paying batteries every day, I have to pay myself a salary because I have a family and need to save at least. Where will I get Ksh2,000 aside for every time I get to CBD? But it is hard out here. I really do not know if they understands this. We are not that privileged. We have tried looking for jobs but it has been difficult to come by. Let him not harass us too much. One day luck will also locate us and we will no longer be motorists."

Hey FRSC, NIGERIA you people have been hiring kidnapper, thug among you people, this f00lish people stop me with my Ladies bike because I was not going too far and I was going to IJAN ekiti to collect something for my sick girlfriend and I told them but all they could said is I should bring my key that they are taking the bike to their office because I don't have driver licence for bike and helmet and this is the scope they have been using to extort money from young guys in Ado here , I told them they should wait that I want to call the person I'm going to meet for my sick girlfriend so it won't be as if I delay him but immediately they started carrying my bike so I have to use one hand to hold the bike that I said they should wait , I'm with you here, I'm not running to anywhere but they were behaving like thug and people that didn't pass through training at all, they said they will use me as scape goat inside this bush and nothing will happen, they started doing video only where I use one hand to hold my bike that they should wait and calm, they didn't do video where they are beating me and they don't allow me to do video of them, one of them hitted my stomach so bad which I nearly fainted and the red mark in my stomach is there in the video, but I didn't raise my hand on anyone of them because they said if anything happen to me here nobody will question them and I don't want to die because I was the only one in the bush with them, now to the form they wrote which is 12,000 I said I don't have 12k that I have 5k but they negotiated with me which they Collected 8,000 from me, and they didn't allow to pay it to bank direct, one of them that drinking Ogogoro regar said they will use the form to book another victim bike, he said that's how they use to do it that they can use 1 form to collect money from like 3-5 people, I wanted to do transfer but they see I have many followers on twitter so they describe where I'm going to use POS in nearest filling station, one was drunk and even offer me to drink Ogogoro regar and I said I don't drink that was after everyone calm after we negotiated, he said I should drink Ogogoro with him but I said no, he return the regar back to his pocket. Video below shows him and the traditional ruler of the community he's conducting is illegal activities, meaning he's given full approval to keep destroying farmland and water bodies all in the guise of mining, which effectively shields his activities from accountability.
