To people who think every dunk has already been done: no! Not true. There are a lot of unique dunks being done in street ball that haven’t made it to the NBA dunk contest. Take a peek here.

I know it’s cliche to complain about the dunk contest, & to say the old NBA is better. I know it’s absurd to criticize these dunks that are mostly still objectively very athletic. But idc. The dunk contest used to be a SPECTACLE, and this year was the *actual* worst one ever

Draymond on the Dunk contest: “I worked this hard to be an All Star and you can be in dunk contests without an NBA contract. We might as well get those guys that do those crazy ass dunks.” (via The Draymond Green Show, h/t NBA Courtside)

Dwyane Wade said he never received an invitation to participate in the Dunk Contest throughout his career: “I’m going to name one person that never got in a dunk contest, is one of the greatest dunkers in the game of basketball. Flash. Myself. F*ck you mean, most dunks by a guard in the history of the game, never got in the dunk contest. I’m the number one guard in the history of the NBA, by far by the way, and never got asked to be in the dunk contest…I don’t know if I ever would because I never was asked. Right now I’m still holding that record — the most dunks…” (via Wy Network by Dwyane Wade)

Luke Wilson is going to be elite at Syracuse. Fills the William Kyle role perfectly. 56% from the line and 69% at the rim with 46 dunks. 2.6 blocks per 40 and 91st %ile in BLK rate. It would not shock me to see him on NBA radars next yr. DPOY in the Sun Belt this year.

tyler tanner has dunked the ball 12 times in 14 games, on pace to shatter the 6’1 and shorter HM guard dunk record (‘13 russ smith dunked 19 times in 40 games) and for good measure, 3 of those 12 dunks were self created in the half court. awesome vertical athlete for his size

Yo, this is seriously one of the most embarrassing plays I’ve ever seen in my life.😨 The second LeBron dunks on Kornet (who’s 20 years younger), he gets right up in his face and starts screaming like a wild animal nonstop. Full-on “I’m the King!” flex mode activated. Then right after that, he lets Castle calmly ice the game with a three while he just flops down on the floor like “Ahh, I’m done~” — total soft-ass move. Only hyped up and screaming on the dunk, but instantly flopping and quitting when it actually matters? What’s going on with his mental age? As a basketball fan, I absolutely refuse to let a player with this kind of mentality get ranked anywhere near the GOAT conversation. Jordan or Kobe in the same situation would’ve kept fighting no matter what — no way in hell they’d just stick themselves to the floor. This is the “King”? Nah, more like “Cringe James” is what we got here. Never bring this guy into the GOAT debate ever again. This is legitimately embarrassing.

Step 2: To find your window to the rim, place your off hand on the ball. Focus on shooting the ball THROUGH your off hand, not WITH it. If you're getting good spin, you're holding it correctly! Practice this against a wall without aiming for the basket.

3 On 3 Dunk Madness by Namco ditched realism for over-the-top street basketball, with exaggerated dunks and fast arcade pacing. It’s also a spiritual follow-up to NBA Jam, showing how the genre evolved after its peak popularity.

My favorite part of this is how they were gassing it up like it was going to be a nailbiter for pole, and then 2 seconds later Leclerc dunks FIVE TENTHS on Sainz💀 Also the "wow"😂

Baylor 6’5 Sophomore Cameron Carr has been one of the most impressive prospects in this years NBA Draft. Carr has been one of the biggest underclassmen standouts averaging 22/6/2 on 56/42/82 splits while also averaging 2 BPG. Standing at 6’5 with a 7’2 wingspan Carr has the frame to play multiple positions in the league, and there aren’t many elite athletes who are as efficient as Carr is from three and at the rim. Carr is shooting 70% at the rim and 42% both on extremely high usage. Carr has the ability to create off the dribble from the mid range or from three and is also an extremely talented off ball shooter who can shoot contested with efficiency. At the rim Carr uses his athleticism to be a lob threat, a cutter, and he also has the ability to create his own look at the rim. Carr is also the only player in college basketball this season to have 20 dunks and 20 threes, and has made a strong case in being a lottery pick.
