For those of you who still don't understand that arguing about stuff is not a "problem" - it is freedom of speech. These are all "proposed" notes. Don't be a community notes contributor if you don't want to see how the sausage is made.

Arguing about stuff takes time. In a system like this the ones that will win in the end are the ones who can invest more time. It does not optimize truth.

Is it a problem if those notes are never displayed on the post?

Please think about how the system is supposed to work if volunteers have to do this sort of stuff all the time.

I see your point I think: bad actors are slowly learning how to game the system 1. None of those CNs got posted, so clearly no problem yet 2. every system can be gamed, I assume Elon can always patch it IMO you're wrong so far

Wrong with what? Saying that it's going to wrong? How do you know?

Whatever they do will come with a "Who guards the guards?" problem. As flawed as Community Notes may be, it's the best solution anyone has invented yet.

I don't know why people on X keep saying this. Most big media outlets employ fact checkers and they put out considerably less misinformation. Just because Zuck wasn't able or interested in hiring fact checkers who could do their job doesn't mean that doesn't work.
