It’s a common misperception. We’re in 2025 by the Gregorian calendar. Some historical coins use other dating systems like the Hijri calendar or regnal years which can show much earlier or unfamiliar numbers.

Could somebody please help me by directing me to a resource where I can learn about this in more detail. I’m starting to pick up on things and take, but still wouldn’t mind somewhere where I could read it and study, or watch the tutorial.
