This reminded me of that night in North Carolina when I was hearing what I thought was screaming of a woman. The couple recording was terrified at what they heard and wanted to document it in case somebody was in trouble. What do you do when you walk out your door and hear this? Do you run, go back in, or call the cops? The first night in North Carolina for me was similar. I had gone outside at night, to get something out of the car. The driveway was long and had those white stone gravel that always got dusty when I drove my car down them. When I got to the car I took my key out and unlocked it, yeah, yeah I know, I didn’t have power locks yet at that point. So anyways I grab my hoodie out and start walking back. One of the teens next door around my age yelled hello and I walked over there to see what’s up. We were chatting about what we wanted to do for the weekend. But his eyes kept darting, I noticed that every so often we would hear a faint whistle, almost barely audible but definitely noticeable. I started to pay attention to the whistle. Minutes went by with nothing abnormal happening and then we both heard it again and it sounded much closer this time. Even with the insects at night, what was weird was we didn’t hear them anymore and it was as if the woods went silent. Being a city boy from NYC I am no stranger to noise and buzzing of daily life but what I’m not used to is total silence. Eerie and foreshadowing silence as if the world has gone mute. It was definitely terrifying simply for the fact that all my life I’ve always heard noise and in this moment of total silence it was unnatural to me. I was uneasy and I could tell he was too and we fist bumped and started walking back to our homes. Even to this day I have no idea what I experienced but I’m not looking forward if it happens again.

In 2024, I went back into the studio to re-record my debut album after it came out 20 years ago. We kept everything that made it special, tweaked a few things, and added a little shine. I get it but at the time I didn’t understand it. At the time I was ready to put the team back together cause we had just lost so we wanted to put something back together so we could win. What's a game that was annoyingly hard (borderline impossible) but you went back to it and tried over and over again? My arch-nemesis was Ghosts 'n Goblins. I can't tell you how many hours I poured into it in the 80s. We played the absolute crap out of it, and it was so incredibly unforgiving. Yet we kept playing… again and again. I remember taking a trip to Florida in my teens. We were sightseeing , new to the area. I was just enjoying the sun and the warm weather for once, I didn’t expect to see anything out of the ordinary. It finally hit me as we were enjoying a drink on the water, we see what looks like a floating log. Our friend who owned the boat said to keep our eyes open and don’t freak out, as long as we were in the boat we were fine. Just hearing that alone was almost panic inducing because he didn’t tell us what we were supposed to be careful of. When the “log drifted under the water, I finally understood what it was that we were looking at. Our friend had us piled in a boat on water infested with these gators. Being from up north, we didn’t see much of this. It made me believe I was in my own movie but I was going to be okay, I thought to myself if it was truly dangerous, our friend wouldn’t have brought us out there right? I stayed calm though, I never knew you could fish in areas that had gators, I assumed they would always go after your bait. All in all I would do it again, but I would never have taken anyone in the water and not tell them about the inhabitants, just in case they have a real phobia. Like I would never take my kids in there in case one panics and falls in. But looking back I’m thinking he may have been in the wrong for taking us there, would you take your friends in an area infested with these creatures not knowing? It’s a little messed up in my opinion but I’m over it.

A few months ago an agency I hadn't heard of reached out and asked if I could send them some balls to include in a photoshoot. Apparently the shoot involved some pro players, but it was a top secret project and they couldn't tell me much more about it than that. Today I started getting tagged in the announcement of the EAFC 25 cover, and to my shock, I see 2 of my balls in the picture! 🤯

A player at a casino was accused of being too good and kept winning, they forced him to return all of his chips and cashed him out and told him to leave, there were whispers that they thought he was card counting. I never been to any place where they forced you to do a return and sent you on your way. But I have heard of retail places doing that. When the customer tries to argue at the register they are like you know what, here take your money back and leave. Back when the PS5 came out I was desperate to get one for my kid too, I was searching online for those obscure local stores that had them. I found one in Rochester, NY. I placed the order and got a confirmation and a notification from my bank saying an amount was taken out by them. So I figured they had it and it was fine. A week later after I didn’t get it, I called and he said yes he still had it but he’s been busy and will ship it out asap. I was like ok cool, so another week went by and I called him again and asked what the hold up was. This time around the guy was quite nasty and told me I needed to be patient because he was dealing with some stuff. He then said “you are acting like you don’t want it!” Which was weird because if I didn’t want it I wouldn’t be checking on why I didn’t get it yet. Next day I wake up to a notification from my bank saying the amount taken was credited back to my account and it showed the retailers name. He cancelled my order and refunded my money.
